The tubing material seems quite robust.
I wanted to sleeve the join between two pieces of metal tubing. Unfortunately, I hadn't reckoned with the possibility of damaging elastic chord inside the metal tubing due to the shrinkage temperature - a little over 100 degrees C. In the end decided not to risk it.

Works well - Heat Shrink Tubing, Heat Shrink Sleeving 4:1 Ratio, Adhesive-Lined (20mm x 2m)
First thing I'll say is that I like two factors about this item; it shrinks well and it contains a glue that seals in too. It's really rather good stuff.I've used loads of heatshrink over the years, nearly all of it standard stuff with no sealant inside, but this one has a glue that melts then sets to seal the insides. It's quite tough stuff too, being thicker and more robust than standard stuff, so I reckon ideal for outdoor sealing of stuff like cable joints and such. The only thing is that you'd have to remove the glue if you ever need to remove this stuff later in its life! Not looking forward to that so much, as it does seal and stick really well!Overall quite impressive stuff, it shrinks a lot, stays strong, seals and sticks really well.

Good selection, size and colours
Bought this as I needed to split out some cables and wanted to make it look neat. This pack was ideal, I split out the cables I needed, and then picked the most appropriate size. I just used a normal hair dryer to shrink the tubing. A professional finish when I'd completed the job.

Warning: Sizes given are incorrect.
I ordered 20 mm. Internal diameter is around 25 mm. Too large to begin with. Then when I tried it out it does not shrink down anything like enough. Certainly not 4:1. Why can I not find any good heat shrink on Amazon?

Good heavy duty heat shrink.
This is great stuff for tidying up the ends of overbraid on my wiring jobs. It's nice and thick, with a good adhesive inner layer that goes properly sticky when heated / shrunk.Shrink size is good, OD on the 20mm stuff I got drops to around 10mm when fully shrunk, with ID of maybe 6mm, so close to the 4:1 claimed.Overall a decent quality heat shrink, no complaints.
