How much weight can this bag hold?

I have around 50 to 60 lbs in mine heavy but holds up nicely. Had it for 3 years droped it 2 time and still going strong. Find a good strap at this weight

Does it deform after a while?

It has held up surprisingly well. Of course how you treat it makes a big difference. Like any tool treat it well and it will treat you well.

Does the handle fold or collape down for less obstruction to being able to be stored in a truck cabinets easier?

Yes the handle folds to either side completely out of the way
