This is an awesome, high quality fan
Update 3/31/22:This fan is still working perfectly. It was more than capable of keeping the house cooler over the summertime after I installed it, and has been nice just to leave on low to circulate inside air. I mentioned in the original review I was going to try something, and I did finally do it: the two pendant lamps have now been wired into the light circuit of the fan's included remote control box. The bulbs are Phillips warm glow dimmable LED so they work perfectly with the dimmer of the remote control, while being only 4W each to keep current draw to a minimum. This turned out to be a great idea since the fan does not have a light fixture of its own but still comes included with the capability in the remote box. (Probably not factory recommended to do this, but worth it.)Great fan, recommended. ;)-----Original-----I bought this fan to install in my livingroom to help maintain air circulation and keep it cooler in the summertime. My installation was likely a little different than most, but it was pretty straightforward and easy to install. Instead of using a recessed electric box which didn't exist in the location I wanted to mount the fan, I measured twice, drilled once, and had my Wave fan installed, securely mounted to my concrete ceiling with the electric provided by a swag chain/power cord that drops down to a wall outlet at standard height. The whole process took a little extra installation time because I had to 'invent' the swag power cord from scratch, find the dead center of my livingroom, drill and anchor holes for the hanger and the swag hooks, then put it all together. But I couldn't be more pleased with how it all turned out.The fan itself is whisper quiet, and that's just wind noise. The motor doesn't appear to make any discernible noise with the exception of a quick click as the radio receiver adjusts the settings of the fan in response to the remote commands. It's perfectly balanced, with no detectable wobble in any speed setting. :DThe fit and finish are all what I'd expect from this caliber of ceiling fan. Just holding the bare motor prior to bolting the blades on it was easy to tell this is a much higher quality than big box store ceiling fans I've installed over the years.A few years back I had my eyes (and heart) set on Minka's Cirque ceiling fan in brushed nickel with the darker wood blades but it just never panned out. Now I'm kinda glad that one didn't because I actually like the organic design of the Wave more. I did end up purchasing this silver one from Amazon warehouse, but with the intention of changing the color if needed. It only just arrived today, so I'm content to let the silver blades and shrouds simmer for a few days/weeks just to see if they grow on me. If not, I might lightly dust on a few coats of flat white - we'll see.For the moment I'm giving this Minka fan 5 stars, and from what I've seen during installation I doubt that will change. Anything happens I'll update my review, but for now I totally recommend this ceiling fan.PS: I've got an idea. And if it works, I'll update my review to include this idea in case anyone else wants to try it out.

This fan looks good, it's quiet and is moves air to cool the room.
We bought this fan because of it's looks. When I installed it I used a single pole switch thinking it would always run on the highest speed. The speed of this fan motor is not dependent on the voltage so I was disappointed that is was so slow. Installing the remote fan control, per directions, solved this problem. The fan stays on the last speed selected so I still use a single pole wall switch to turn it off and on. This is so I don't have to keep track of the controller. This fan looks good, it's quiet and is moves air to cool the room.

BUYER BEWARE
We purchased 3 of these ceiling fans , never purchased this brand before I bought these. We liked the design which is why we bought them. They say they warranty them for life. The only thing they actually warranty is the motor, the capacitor and something else has gone bad in both my fans within three years.I’d stay away from this brand of fan.I now have to buy a new one as these make so much noise they are unusable!

Like a piece of art for my ceiling.
This is my second purchase of this product. The first one worked perfectly in the Living Room of the house I sold so I needed to get a second one for the new living room. It looks great and works great.

Good Product
We ordered three fans. One was defective and they replaced it. That is the reason for the average rating. The fans look good and do a nice job.

Love It Love It Love It
This fan is more than an article for moving air around. It is a beautifully structural accent to the room and compliments the furniture. It was simple to install and the mountable remote is very easy to use. It is very, very quiet also. I had returned the Distressed Koa version because I thought the brushed silver was a better look for the room. I was right. However, I like this fan so much I'm going to be ordering the Koa for another room where it will perfectly match darker wood.

This is a cool looking fan that moves air very well in our 20' by 20' family room. Love the remote. The only down side was if you choose to use the shorter pole (keeping the fan closer to the ceiling and further from chopping off your head), the engine has to remain exposed. It comes with a hat that hides the engine, but that can only be used if you choose the medium or long pole choices. It still looks cool, just a bit more "industrial" and less sleak than I'd intended due to the exposed motor.

Worst fan in my home
Moves no air. POS. Replacing soon with a fan with normal blades that actually move air. Junk
