Fishy
They came in the post as promised and were seagull- and Eric Cantona-free (or was that sprats?), and the packaging was fine. They went in the cupboard no problem, and fitted in nicely next to the baked beans. Inside was as promised, dead fish in bits, with some palatable but oily substance round them. If I had a complaint it's that the oil gets on your fingers; they should really supply artificial fingers that are both animatronic and disposable. Or soap, I suppose soap would be cheaper.Once eaten the packaging was 100% recyclable (I mean, I ate the fish, not the packaging), though I had to walk out to the bin myself, which is a bit of a liberty when you've paid for a product; McDonald's jsut let you throw your crap out the window of the car and leave you alone.Oily fish is supposed to do your joints no end of good but after eating it I sat in a chair for 12 hours and my joints ached like buggery, so I'm not sure about that.Still: a dozen coffins of dead fish delivered to your door, that's progress.

Same price at Morrison’s !!
Seeing them advertised at £12 for 12 tins with free delivery seemed a good buy so I ordered a dozen. Ha ha, they are the same price in Morrisons! Nonetheless, they taste good.

Great value and good quality
Sardines are tasty, a great source of protein and a super thing to both include in your diet - and to have squirrelled away in the cupboard for a rainy day. John West is a known, quality brand and this particular option has the sardines packed in olive oil, which is much better for you than seed oils, so it was the obvious choice for me. And, best of all, the price is cheaper than the supermarket. What's not to love?

Pour excess oil off before using
I always knew of course I didn't like sardines in olive oil. COVID taught me I love them! Pour off excess oil - push down the lid once opened to squeeze it out - else they're nasty.

Great for sandwiches
I don’t eat a lot of sardines but did enjoy these very much. The tins are quite small but perfect for a couple of well-filled sandwiches. I drained some oil and added vinegar and black pepper. I will restock this brand when I've finished these.

Great taste and price
The sardines taste delicious and I prefer the ones with olive oil because the Mediterranean diet is great for the body so you get the omega 3 from the sardines and then the added benefit of the heart-healthy olive oil. Buying as a subscribe & save makes this much cheaper than buying from the supermarket so worth a go.
