They are good, a superb replacement. The only cat h is that it will change your headphones from open to closed and they block at all sounds from outside in a way that is different than the stock ones

UPDATE 4/25/21: The leather surface has started to loosen on the right ear, leaving the yes, indeed, cheap black foam within sticking out. Though I guess it's held up pretty well for fairly consistent, almost daily use for the 2 years I've had these (almost to the date!).Original review 4/24/2019: So I've learned that I'm not someone who cares about the difference between velour or leather all that much. I bought these for my Sennheiser 598 Cs, since my original pads were flaking horribly. These new ones were very easy to snap into place, and feel pretty good.But the foam is definitely normal, everyday foam - there's less sound isolation and I've had to turn my volume up to compensate. It's fairly airy foam. I can tell from touching both the original Sennheiser pads and these that the originals had something like thick memory foam, which was nice.Not sure they're worth the $23 I paid for them, to be honest, given that the leather, while indeed nice, isn't a priority of mine at all. The foam is disappointing, which IS my priority. I kind of want to tear both the original and these apart and swap the foam inserts, but I have no idea if that's feasible or even cost effective. I will try other pad replacements in the future, and probably won't be repurchasing these.That said, if you don't mind a minor decrease in sound quality but similar comfort levels, and *really* prefer leather over velour, these aren't a bad purchase. It's just that they're not right for me.

I have had the Sennheiser HMEC 250 headset for nearly 15 years. The earpads had started to deteriorate and the plastic coating on the original earpads was flaking off. Besides having paper thin black flakes of plastic on the side of my face after every flight the active noise cancelling (ANC) was starting to degrade.Getting fed up with my duct tape repairs, I searched for replacement ear pads. My aviation headset is somewhat outdated and finding replacement pads proved to be difficult. I was going to order some D. Clark replacement pads and modify them. Then I came across these pads.These pads are substantially better than the original ear pads. They appear to be actual sheepskin leather. Stitching is tight and uniform. The pads are extremely comfortable especially on long flights. The ANC is even better than with the original pads. They don't really feel like memory foam. Guess I'll find out when the temperature gets cooler.I wish I had purchased these ear cups when I originally purchased the headset. Honestly, with the price of a good aviation headset, ear cups of this quality should come standard.Shipping was normal.

Fantastic fitting and feeling pads. Extremely high quality and real leather. They fit on every single Sennheiser HD 500 series headphones. Even the older ones all the way up to the newest versions. Yes I own all of them (12 total pairs). Love these pads on the hd 518, 559, 569, 598cs and 598sr or se. They were comfortable but I did not like the sound change on the hd 579, 599 and 558. I have not tried them on the HD 515, 545, 555, 565 and 595 older models and don't think I ever will cause the following models have been retired and are simply decoration on the sennheiser wall now. Great pads though and highly recommended.

Replaced the old stock and quickly deteriorating earpads on my HD 598 Cs. Watched generic video on YouTube to learn installation process and the new pads easily snapped into position. The new pads look, feel, and sound great! Very happy with the purchase!

The stock ear cups for the Sennheiser 598 SR would absorb all the dirt and lint which would make them disgusting. Finally, after cleaning them for the 100th time the fabric ripped.These replacement pads seem much better. The leather fabric should be easier to clean and not absorb everything like the felt fabric of the stock. I'm definitely not an audiophile, but I couldn't tell much difference in sound quality. Maybe it's a bit less closed back and more bass? I hate bass and it's barely noticeable, if any. These are a more comfortable fit and they snapped right on the headphones.My only gripes are they started with a pretty strong chemical smell, it seemed to fade pretty quickly, but maybe it's best to air them out a while before use? These are REALLY stuck to the headphones, I can't easily remove them like the stock. I tried removing them and it felt like I was going to break the headphones, I'll probably need a screwdriver. At least you can clean these easily on the headphones with wipes, so it's not that worrying.

These are good ear pads, I wish I could leave a review that didn't affect the star rating. I wasn't aware the extent to which the ear pads affect how headphones sound. These make the headphones feel much more like closed back headphones; your voice and exterior sounds are much more muffled. Bass gets louder, I think the sound stage is smaller as well which is a negative in my opinion since I originally purchased my headphones (HD599s) for the large sound stage and open quality. They're good pads, they're comfortable and more cushioned than the originals, but be aware that the headphones won't be as open sounding as before, and the difference is VERY noticeable.

The original foam earpads had disintegrated, and I purchase this set of leather ones.Surprisingly very comfortable and sound quality was not affected.Satisfied with my purchase.
