The Ant Collective: Inside the World of an Ant Colony

Beautiful and informative!
The illustrations are very detailed and beautiful! They have good resolution and can be enlarged for closer study. There is much information about anatomy, function, and behavior of this ant species, covering most aspects of their biology. A good example of a great illustration shows a wild boar breaking into a colony to reach a white grub (beetle larva). One can enlarge the illustration and study various places on the boar's body where the ants are attacking the boar; one can see in detail the ants among the boar's hairs and even study the hairs and other structures on the white grub in the boar's mouth.

Excellent!
I don’t have the patience right now to write everything I’d like to say about this book. If you like entomology, just buy it!
