YESSSSSS!!! FINALLY!! perfect coffee and no mess!
This little coffee maker has changed my life. I had given up finding "perfection," and was settling for "it works ok" or "good enough." This is IT. K-cups or grounds, and all you have to do is switch out the little canister. It's soooo easy to use: just pour the cup's amount of water in the back, and in just a minute or two, fresh-hot and perfect coffee! There is NO splash with this one! Every other single-cup that I have tried involves elaborate calibrating of size or inevitable splash around the cup. This one gets it right, whether a small, medium or tall cup. No splash and perfect-temperature coffee. I am so incredibly thrilled!! Plus, it takes up very little room on the counter. And I can pour in a cup in the back of it without having to pull it out from the wall (it's small enough vertically). No bells or whistles, just two buttons to pick (k-cup or grounds). I absolutely LOVE this coffeemaker and am set for life!!

Sometimes Simple Is The Best
Do you want a wonderfully hot cup of coffee in about two minutes with virtually nothing to ever clean? This is the perfect, flexible little machine. It does what it intends to do and nothing more. I shopped myriad single serve machines, some costing 3x more with lots of bells and whistles. This little guy is one of the few machines that does both K-Cup and fresh ground. It has no reservoir and is intended to make one cup of coffee but here's the thing: you take your cup (however large or small it is, up to 14oz), fill it with fresh filtered water, pour that into this little machine and voila, you have exactly the right amount of coffee for your cup. No buttons to push, no manuals to decipher ("...do I have a size 4, 6, 8, or 10 cup?"). No standing water in a reservoir and literally nothing to clean (two buttons on the side are pressed together periodically to flush hot water thru the system for cleaning - ridiculously easy.) The footprint is small; this is not a sexy, fancy, bling machine. Nope. However, it is an amazingly simple, fast and quiet single serve coffee machine that does an incredibly good job of making delicious, hot coffee every day. You can spend a whole lot more - why would you?

I like the Hamswan coffee maker but..............
I like that this Hamswan coffee maker is compact and does not take up much counter space. It brews a delicious mug of coffee in a couple of minutes, after you set it up, although a lot depends on the type of coffee you are using, either ground or K-Cups. We only use decaf coffee and one of my biggest gripes is the scarcity of good decaf coffee in pods or ground, our Safeway does not even carry a decaf pod, I had to purchase "Half-Caf". It takes some experimenting and buying different brands for ground coffee but frustrating to find pods that are decaf, medium roast coffee, maybe at Costco. IMPORTANT TO KNOW: We have used ground and pods so far and all leave sediment in the very bottom of your coffee mug so you won't be able to drink to the last drop, unless you like the taste of coffee ground sediment. Also, we tend to use max amount of water and careful to fill the grounds container only to the prescribed amount but every time there are used grounds all around the inside of the lid where the needle that punctures the pod is. This means I have to tip the whole machine over the sink (after removing the used coffee basket) and wipe out the used grounds with a rag.......sort of annoying and I would think a deal changer for some folks. Perhaps this would not happen if I used less grounds but we prefer to make a large mug. This of course does not happen with a pod. We are still getting used to the idea of using a pod to make coffee, they are expensive and add to the land fill. Also, the top where you put the coffee cannot be opened with one hand, you have to hold the whole appliance and push the lever which opens the top...........not a big deal but if you are getting ready to install the coffee you have to put it down, hold the pot, then push the lever. As I said, we like the Hamswan coffee maker but are not completely on board yet with this whole process. Time will tell!

Practical,small factor and affordable!
Wanted to move from the classic type coffee maker into the K Cup style, yet didn't want to spend a lot of money! Some search on Amazon.com lead me to this Coffee Maker and here is what I thing after using it for a while:Very similar in operation to top name brand out there! Just slide in your favorite K Cup coffee or fill it out manually with the desired coffee brand, fill up the reservoir with water, place a cup or mug under the dripping spout, press one of the two side button and enjoy a nice cup of coffee! Yes that simple.Strength of coffee is controlled by the amount of coffee you add. For a regular strength coffee fill up 10oz of water into the marked and measured reservoir. For a strong cup(which I like) an 8oz water should give the strong cup you're looking for.It is a decent machine for this price range. The only thing that you might not like is the additional seconds that you have to wait for it to brew(compared to more expensive brands) for me it was not a deal breaker!! Size is the best feature of this machine,it is fairly small and doesn't require much room in your kitchen or small office. So far,the machine seems to function as advertised, and I do recommend it to others! However any changes in the future will for sure have me come back and update my review
