This crystal nail file form Bona Fide is brilliant. The best one I've used. Had the Leighton Denny one but found it caused my nails to layer at the tips, it was also a little bit thick and awkward to use. This nail file from Bona Fide is altogether a much better file. Finer grain (like a 240 grit emery) much thinner and with a pointed end which is much more useful thank a thick rounded one. Much kinder to the nail. So happy with it I immediately ordered a second.

Smooth. Far better than a metal or sanding file - I've binned them and bought another of these for my travel bag. Unlike metal or sanding files you don't need different grades - just a little more pressure if sorting nail edges or serrations. My nails and (dare I say it) skin tags are now the smoothest and rounded I've ever known.After a couple of months I thought it was losing its edge but a gentle wash and a light scrub with an old toothbrush and it's like new.Can't recommend it enough - love it.

I’m very impressed by this file. I’ve had another glass file from another company and was impressed with that, however what sets this aside is you can file in both directions, with the other it was only one. Cut filing my nails by half the time. No sharp edges and feels very smooth. Delivery was also super quick, ordered Sunday afternoon and arrived Xmas Eve at 10am. This will be my go to file and any replacements will be from Bona Fide.

I actually use these mostly for the hard skin that forms next to my nails ( yep, I’m a bloke with gardening type hands ). The product feels and looks a bit girly but wow, it really made short work of hard skin and split nails. I actually didn’t think the file was doing that much until I looked down at my middle age spread to discover enough skin and nail shavings to start my own DNA cloning business. A quick rinse with water and soap and the file was good as new, my only minor ( very minor ) complaint was that the glass file rattles inside the plastic holder that comes with it and I keep thinking I’m going to break it . I still give this full stars though as the minimal cost more than makes up for the files loose fitting in the case.

I was truly pleased with this purchase . They were excellent , came in there own slip in case very good value and very speedy delivery. The files are so good to use never had them before I would certainly buy them again and recomend them to others. Unfortunately my husband was looking at one and whilst testing it he snapped one of my files luckily I have another four to use he was convinced they weren’t made of Chrystal glass but soon realised different when it snapped and he said oh dear they are truly made of glass . As a reformed nail biter the one thing I cannot stand is filing my nails with those brown sandpaper files. It's like someone dragging their nails down a blackboard, just the thought makes me shudder.I saw this glass file on Amazon and thought I'd give it a go. It's perfect - for some reason it doesn't have the same effect on my gag reflex as the other files do and it's also much easier to do - I don't get any raggedy bits, it leaves a nice smooth edge to my nails. Sometimes a little to smooth - I have stabbed myself in the palm a couple of times. Not with the file - with my nails after they've been filed. This is all new to me though and might just be the hazards of having slightly longer nails.The file itself - recommended, even a novice can't go wrong.

Bought this after I couldn't find my other glass nail file. I was also fed up buying emery boards every few months, as they eventually wear away with use. This came with its own carry case, wrapped in bubble wrap, a solid cardboard box and then the Amazon outer packaging. This file is very beautiful, easy to use and produces beautiful results. The only thing I'm worried about is the nail file itself is very thin, I'm concerned I may snap it, only time will tell.

Over the years I purchased several glass nail files. I like the fact that it is pointed (not all of them are), double sided (not all of them are) and comes with a metal case (i had some in plastic or fabric cases. The case especially helps to keep it protected and secure in the handbag. I have been using it now for several months and it works great on my very brittle and fragile nails.
