Ganglands: Brazil Paperback – 6 Aug. 2009

It would seem that Ross Kemp has a talent for story telling - great book! He's certainly drawn on his experiences when making documentaries in the country to make it realistic. Fast paced - read it in 2 days! Will definitely look out for more books by him!

I can't express how much I enjoyed this book! Like others have said you just can't put it down, a shame it wasn't longer as the characters could have got up to a lot more without dragging out the storyline. Ross uses well his experiences of the gangs in Rio to make the story and characters seem very realistic. I can't wait to read Ganglands Russia!

The book is ok, pretty much the same as gangland in Russia so is predictable if you have read that too. Worth a read though if this is your first ross Kemp book

I've read few of Kemp's works of fiction, the Nick Kane series, so I thought I give this short novella a go. I got it ages ago and always seemed to bypass it so I thought it was about time I read it. I have to say it was thoroughly enjoyable and clearly (as per his programmes) Kemp has a great deal of knowledge about gangs and the favelas of Rio. The book wasn't a piece of art and Kemp wont win awards for it but it was enjoyable, fast paced and a page turner. Thats all you can ask for really!

Struggled to put the book down absolutely at the edge of my seat, read it in 24hours,have enjoyed this immensely and recommended to friends. I have read many of these books by Ross Kemp and this is one of his best. I followed it with Ganglands Russia which is equally as good a read. If you want an exciting gripping read it's a great roller coaster ride!
