Something to Note (It Works!)
These are a great alternative to the original keikei paste except you get alot more. Some things I’ve noticed experimenting with this: - it does not work consistently if you do not make a small slash at the growth node. I tried this with pothos and monstera adonsonii on areas of the vine that an old leaf died (middle of the vine). Did not promote growth - worked well on pothos after making the tiniest slash by the growth node. - applied on my monstera albo that has not had growth in months and again did not do anything but i’m too scared to slash it and don’t want to risk it haha - make sure you disinfect any tool you use to slash the plant with alcohol*** Cons: - hard to squeeze out the bottle Overall I would say this is an alternative replacement to the original kekei paste but at a better value.

This really works!!! A must in a gardeners life
This is serious stuff. I have a few plants that I want to have new shoots grown where leaves fell of. I have a few pictures of after only a week you can see the shoots forming. So excited. I’ll keep you all updated. It’s is so worth it and a little paste goes a long way. One is my money tree and the last two pics are of my rubber tree which the buds are just starting to come out. After less than a week!!!

Doesn't work
I have used Crazy Keiki Cloning Paste for years and it works very well. I thought this would be the same, and also that I'd save some $ with the larger size. Money wasted, it actually dries out on the plant!

Works so far! *edit at end
I just bought it a couple weeks ago6/24/24. Today is 7/8/24. I like the idea of squeeze bottle instead of jar. It’s very thick and you have to squeeze hard. I don’t mind. Keikei paste should be thick. When I received it, I applied the paste to both scored and non scored nodes just to see if there’s a difference. It claims it will work without scoring. In just a week, ONE of the scored nodes has new growth already! See photo. I was surprised. Wasnt expecting anything for at least a month or more. That being said, only one node shows new growth- not sure why this one has new growth and the others so far have none. Pretty excited. I just read someone else’s review that this paste only works if you score the nodes. The paste claims it does not require scoring. But from what I see and the other reviews, I will be scoring the rest of the nodes when I apply. *edit ok so it is July 10. 2 days after I wrote my first review. I just noticed a different mode with growth and it is long! I swear this stuff works soooo good! I went back and scored the nodes I originally applied the paste on but didn’t score. Crossing my fingers!

Good size value but poor packaging
Good size but the tube wasn’t properly sealed so during my first squeeze it popped open.

Great value
Great product, great value with the size versus price, already have new growth points, plants seem to love it.

Great option to have as a part of my plant tool kit
I'm experimenting with different ways of growing plants and I've never tried keiki before, so I thought this would be a fun project to try. If I'm understanding this correctly, unlike air layering, where the process encourages new roots to form from the node for cut and propagation, the keiki paste encourages new shoots, buds, or branches to emerge faster from the node... So, I think this helps with filling the bare stem to grow fuller plant faster. I tested this on an inexpensive orchid. I don't want to risk messing up an expensive plant... the instructions are pretty straight forward. For my very first attempt, I thought the process was pretty easy, not messy, or extensive. I didn't want to over use the product, a tiny bit is enough for a node and this tube can certainly last a while... anyway, I used a chopstick and fine tipped skewer. The chopstick helped to apply the paste and the skewer helped to fill in the paste. I didn't want to use my fingers (bacteria) and I didn't want to squeeze a dollop larger than necessary... I don't have any results to share yet, but depending on the plant, new growth may emerge between 2-8 weeks... regardless, this is an inexpensive paste to have in my plant tool kit to use on those stubborn, half naked plants that also like to take their sweet time to grow. I would absolutely recommend looking up tutorials and take your time on selecting the first plant and making the cut near a node. Practice it on a less expensive plant or one you are comfortable working with (not afraid to lose it). I plan to test this on some aroids soon...
