Insightful
I work in the Middle East with multiple different nationalities. This book has made so much sense and explained the reasons of so many frustrations within the teams I work in. I found this incredibly interesting and insightful.

Great book!
Very helpful and applicable content. Helps understand things and behaviours barely noticed in everyday interactions. Even our own ones. Recommended to multicultural groups and teams.

Dismantling culture norms
This book analysis how being brought up in some culture makes us predisposed to accept some "rules" as the norm, which makes us somewhat intransigent when someone doesn't follow the same rules we do. In a work environment, this may become a problem. I would not say the book is eye-opening because I believe most people have been in these situations and noticed the differences, but the skills to handle them are well explained and clear. I feel I am more prepared to handle a group of people from difficult cultures after having read this book. I will keep using it in the future.

Useful read
This book provokes deep thought about how different peoples from different countries have different approaches to time, authority, personal relationships and more. For people that work in a multicultural setting, and for those that are curious about the world, this book provides an excellent, easy to read, synopsis of the differences between cultures and how to bridge them. Ultimately, it’ll make you wiser and smarter. Highly recommended read.

A great start to understanding each other across different cultures
As a former British expat in Asia and having grown up between France, Spain and the UK, I found myself nodding along in agreement at the many examples and anecdotes in this book. So interesting! I find it so intriguing that so much in business gets "lost in translation" despite speaking the same language just because of cultural differences in expressing ourselves. These differences are what make us unique and provide the multiculturality and diversity that businesses need to thrive, and yet if we simply understood them better we would be more productive, engaged, collaborative and less confused (Or sometimes even disheartened when we can't seem to communicate effectively!).A great book to get you started on the journey to understanding different cultures and helping you work better together - thoroughly recommend it.

Excellent book - Strongly recommend
This is really an amazing book. Author Erin Meyer had explained everything regarding different cultures across the globe very well with lots of examples and charts that makes this book very interesting reading. If you are dealing with a diverse team at your organisation or you are a part of big multinational organisations and dealing with diverse people in your organisation or outside your organisation you must read this book.Author has divided cultural differences in 8 relative scales,1. Communicating: Low-context vs. High-context2. Evaluating: Direct vs. Indirect negative feedback3. Persuading: Principles-first vs. Application first4. Leading: Egalitarian vs. Hierarchical5. Deciding: Consensual vs. Top-down6. Trusting: Task-based vs. Relationship-based7. Disagreeing: Confrontational vs. Avoiding confrontation8. Time/Scheduling: Linear vs FlexibleAuthor had provided good examples with her own point of view for above mentioned all 8 different scales regarding cultural differences across the globe.I really enjoyed reading this book. I learnt so many important things from this book which are going to heIpful in the future.I strongly recommend to read this book.
