Rhino USA Boat Winch Strap with Hook (2in x 20ft) - 5,016lb

Bought this to replace the factory strap on my boat trailer winch after the original started fraying right where it wraps around the hook, wasn't trusting it another season. Length wise 20ft gives me a lot more wrap around the drum than the old strap had, so I'm not down to bare spool by the time the boat's snug against the bow stop. The 2 inch width matched my stock winch drum fine, no rubbing or bunching up on one side like I worried it might. Break strength is rated at 5,016lb which is way more than my setup needs, but I'd rather have the extra margin than find out the hard way on a boat ramp with people watching. Installation was easy enough, bolted onto the drum in a couple minutes and the hook end slides through the bow eye smooth, no fighting to get it seated right. As far as appearance it's just black webbing with a black hook, looks clean on the trailer and doesn't look like some flashy aftermarket part. Fit-wise it's a straight swap for a standard trailer winch, didn't need any adapters or extra hardware. Only gripe is it comes wound really tight on that little spool in the box, took some pulling and flexing by hand before it would lay flat without trying to curl back up on itself. Works fine now, just wasn't expecting to have to "break it in" a little. Solid strap for the price, wouldn't hesitate to buy another for the spare. Didnt really add any weight.

Product is great. Length was a little long and the last few cranks on my winch run against the bottom bolt. For a boat it would be great. For a PWC it's a little too long. I wanted a 12-15 footer but rhino doesn't make one currently. I hope they do soon.

This Rhino winch strap seems very well made with a very strong hook. After taking my old one off, I noticed the bolt that holds the strap in place is bent and needs to be replaced. However a replacement bolt wasn't included in the box. I'm an hour away from a hardware store, so needless to say, this simple job quickly got complicated and frustrating. Upon arriving, I discovered they didn't have the 3 1/4" (grade 5) 3/8" bolt I need, and the 2nd hardware store I visited turned out to be closed (it's Sunday). I see most of the replacement straps on Amazon include a replacement bolt. I'm baffled and disappointed (to put it lightly) that one isn't included here, especially given the apparent overall quality of this strap but with a higher price than most. I realize it's partly my own fault for not noticing the listing didn't include the bolt, and most others do, but I'm not a happy camper! If this $1.25 bolt and lock-nut had been included, or at the very least a note in the listing that one isn't included, it would have saved me a lot of time, frustration and gas.
