Great guide to creating beautiful QAYG quilts
I am a beginning quilter with a domestic machine with a small (7") throat. I wanted to make QAYG quilts that looked as if they were traditional whole quilts. I love that the sashings in this book are an integral part of the quilt and not the typical window pane sashing. The book gives a clear picture of the blocks and a clear description of how to join the blocks together. Now I can take my quilting with me when we camp! OK, it's more like glamping but I can quilt outdoors.

Useful tips for people on the go!
Found this book to be very encouraging to a beginner quilter who doesn't always have time to sit at a sewing machine. Projects are easy and very convenient for a traveler. Definitely recommend this book.

Love this book!
I am enjoying the book very much and have read it cover to cover. I always wondered about doing this as I have made reversible quilts before but not with this method. It has given me the courage to get going on one. What a neat way to complete a quilt without all the bulk. I love to hand quilt so it will work great for me!

Quitling on the go - makes life easier
Although the patterns are quite familiar to quilters, the methods shown are clear and well explained and for those of us who hate going anywhere without fabric, needles and a piece of quilting it is really good. It is difficult to layer out a king sized bed quilt but the methods in the book would make it easy whether by machine or by hand, so for my next quilt I will be doing it Carolyn Forster's way, it will save lots of bad language when trying to force a quart of fabric under the pint sized arm of my machine.
