Not a simple game to learn
My family loves games. I found this, after looking for games similar to Settlers of Catan. It is ok, but it was difficult to figure out and it's not a game we return to often.

Boring, Themeless Euro-Game!
A game about cube pushing..er...trading..(well, chits in the new version)....that can go on forever. Negotiation/trading games can be fun when done right. Genoa doesn't. Dull, dull, dull.

Quality reissue of an underrated game
This is a great underrated board game but sadly the new version does away with the cubes used for resources in the first edition and replaces them with cardboard chits. That does make it clearer which resources are what, but is a downside for those who like cubes. The rules are clearer than in the first edition, but there can still be some confusion about exactly what negotiations are allowed.
