about every 3-4 months, I have to remove and reinstall the app for Google Home to recognize all my devices . Its not the app, its absolutely Google Home.

Wanted a product without having to be hooked up to the Internet and this does the trick! Works every time as long as you use the proper commands of "Tuya Smart" (wait for recognition chime to sound) "turn on the plug" or "Tuya Smart" (wait for recognition chime to sound) "turn off the plug". No other combination of words seemed to work without difficulty. Very handy when you don't want to use something like Alexa or Echo or another device to turn on the power to your item.

The unit doesn’t connect . There is no reset button. My other plugs power button is also reset. This studio thing is junk. Why Amazon allow these products. Waste of time and money . Amazon can return the product but cannot return the time. Tans my hide !

I was really nervous after reading the reviews. It didn’t give me any confidence when I bought 8 (2 sets of 4) and didn’t get a single manual. Scouring reviews and web links, Google searching, couldn’t find instructions past “say start pairing” to get these things going. Finally, after 2 hours and just about the throw these things in a fire, figured it out.Here is how to set up your plug:1: Plug in outlet2. Press button (like a doorbell press) - button will glow blue and you will here a beep3. Say “Tuya Smart”, it will beep, then say “start pairing”4. Make sure you have the App opened - plug will pop up click and pairing will begin.No need to press button to pair. Super easy. Plugs have a microphone built in. You done need to use the app or Alexa to turn them on or off.

Set up and pairing worked fine once you make sure you’re not using 5g Wi-Fi. Also, using the voice activation to pair worked the best- the instructions explain the 4 commands it knows. People have complained that it doesn’t schedule for set times, but it does in the Tuya smart app under the ‘scene’ button. I have set both of mine to turn on and off at different times no problem. I think most negative reviews for this this smart plug are because people aren’t reading the directions.

I'd frequently forget to turn of a lamp at the bottom of my stairs and would have to get back up to turn it off.This product fixed that. While neither the automatic nor the manual set up worked, the vocal set up was a breeze.

I have multiple of these plugs and they always worked great for me. I can see how pairing could be a little difficult to learn. Once you learn how to pair it is easy. I've never had a problem.

Fueron para regalo, me comentan que funcionan bien, los controla con el celular. Un punto menos por no traer instructivo ni garantía. CORRECCIÓN: , tuvieron mucha dificultad para emparejarlos con el celular (Android) y lo lograron hasta que revisaron los comentarios de otros compradores que lograron activarlo con voz: se abre la aplicación en el celular y sin encender (pero conectado) dices “star tuya smart”, se oye un pitido y a continuación dices “star paring” (se pronuncian”estar pering”) empieza a parpadear y en la aplicación inicia el emparejamiento. Por tener tan mal instructivo (ya queríamos devolver los contactos) le resto dos estrellas.
