I searched everywhere and these filters were the best bargain for the money that I could find. I recently put on two whole-house filters back-to-back with one 5 micron filter installed in the first housing, then followed that with another housing and a 1 micron filter for maximum filtration. I was concerned at first that those particular two filters, because they are so small in micron rating, would choke my water pressure (I have a well with a pressure tank set at 55lbs cut-off) down to the point that I would need to up the micron number, but the pressure loss is almost not discernible at all. These filters save me a lot of money by buying them in bulk (minimum of 48 per order) rather than buying them at a big box store for more money plus the tax. Since I change them about every 6-8 weeks, they fit the bill perfectly!!

I change our water filter every two weeks due to the heavy amount of iron and minerals in our water. I have used aabout 20 of these filters now and I have to say they are the best filters I have ever used. There are visible results - you can actually tell the water is cleaner by just looking at it.One item to note, these filters are 10" in length which is just a bit longer than the standard filters. I have to trim about 1/4" of the end of each filter for it to fit. However, this is easily accomplshed with a sharp utility knive.

Good filters, sediment never penetrates center ring, even when I accidentally let it go an extra day. I order these a case at a time, as this filter is the first filter (primary or pre-filter for sediment in a system of three filters) for well water with shale and clay sediment, so I change this filter every other day. This company makes good filters.

I bought these for household water filter system, obviously. They were a great price compared to what I've purchased in the past. They arrived in a box that had been pretty destroyed and even open on one end. Having said that, all 50 filters were there. They are individually cello wrapped, so that is good. So far, they seem to work well. We end up changing out these filters about every 3-4 weeks. I think it would depend on how gritty your main water supply is as to your result. I will update this review if there are any issues I think would helpful.

I have used several of these filters in a variety of locations around the western US (I live in an RV), and have not had any problem with clogging as some reviewers have said. In bad water areas, they fill up quickly, but that has been my experience with string wound filters also. We have lived on the road in an RV for 21 years and stayed in over 35 states. Because of the dramatically lower cost of these filters compared to buying them at the local home center or Walmart, I am happy to be able to change my filter more often, and I now have enough on hand to last me for the next two years or more.

I have used these filters before ( I got Purenex filters which is fine with me ) and I was paying almost $20 just for 4 filters! 50 filters at about $1.20 a filter is not bad at all. I have 2 filters on my house, the first one uses these Purenex filters to catch the sediment and what not. Then I have a second filter after it that is for Taste & Oder which works out great for me. These filters seem to really catch almost everything coming through. I got free super saver shipping and I swear I ordered Monday & got it Tuesday afternoon! That's not bad shipping at all.

I thought I scored a great deal but the 5 micron suck they clog fast... Helen who is a fab girl who works at iSping contacted me on my dissatisfaction and sent me a few 20 micron filters. Now I am a happy camper they work perfectly and no particulate gets through. I use lake water and usually get about a month on a filter depending on the traffic. With the 20 micron filters I am back to over a month before changing.These are VERY cost effective and they perform as good or better than the expensive Rainfresh ones. I do have to use the plastic ends off the old filters, but that's no big deal at all.

This is the exact filter I was looking for. Does not collect sediment on filter, most sediment sheds to bottom of whole house container. I have sandy sediment without dirt and a small amount of iron bacteria. Water is clear and over a two or three month period flow is not impeded. Ordering was a breeze with quick delivery. I'm about to order another box at a great price.
