300 Watt Titanium Heater, Gray (VA300T)

Great heater. I have purchased these in the past for a stock tank heater in my basement. I prefer the ViaAqua heaters because they are made of metal, and won't easily break by careless aquarists. Unfortunately, I lost all of my aquarium supplies in a flood a few years back, and when I decided to hear my tank again, I had to purchase another. I never had one go bad, ever, and I had several because of my hobby. I would highly recommend this heater type. Also, the temperature regulation is very easy -- just plug in, press the button until it hits the temp you want (say 74) and it will get there overnight. If you want to DECREASE the temperature, you have to keep pushing the button until it cycles through the highest temp (I think 84), then it goes to the lowest setting, or whatever temperature your aquarium currently is at. I hope this helps.

This is a good heater, and one that I think will last me forever, but as some of the other reviewers have said, it doesn't do a great job at keeping a really steady temperature. That doesn't bother me too much. I've had it for a year now and haven't had any problems with it.

I was looking to purchase a new heater for my saltwater mixing tank, when I ran across this unit.After purchasing the unit and mounting it, per the instructions, I was shocked to check on it a day later, only to find the water scalding hot, when the unit was set to 78 degrees.So back it went, with a replacement unit already on its way.SURPRISE, the second heater did EXACTLY the same thing.I can't help but wonder how the company would've handled this issue, had I been using this heater for my actual reef tank, and it cooked around $5000 worth of livestock...I've always bought Finnex heaters, and I just bought another one, in lieu of another one of these.I would strongly NOT recommend this product!

With the temp set to 77 it doesn't turn on until the water temp goes down to 75 and doesn't shut off until 79. Not what I was hoping for. I'll be trying a different brand.

I run a small Aquarium maintenance business and see my share of heaters. Titanium heaters work well in aquarium sumps and keep good temp regulation. I have seen a higher failure rate than normal in titanium heaters. More so than in previous years. This 300 watt heater gave out in less than 10 months.

Best Heater I ever purchased. Very accurate! Same reading with my ReefKeeper Lite and my other digital Temp monitor.

Received product a month ago. Went to install today and found that this product is only 120v. No where on the packaging or official advising on amazon does it state this. 2 heaters now useless in my location. Be aware this is only 120v. Not suitable for 220v.

Plugged it in it turned on put it in my fish tank and walked away . 10min later it popes up er for error and would not work unplugged it for 20min and plugged back in still doing the same thing I would stay away from this thing
