Honestly I wish I’d bought it sooner.
Please take the time to read this review. It’s not wondered or anything. I’m going to be totally honest and transparent about this product. So I bought three tubs originally because I saw some of the reviews said the buckets weren’t full. And that’s true. They aren’t full to the top. But what is in there is PLENTY for a first coat. To begin with you will need to sand your tub. Sand it well. Get all the original glossy stuff off. Don’t take it down to the bare material but make it look dull. Then you’re going to scrub it like your life depends on it. Get some microfiber cloths or sponges like they use for cars and wipe it down several times. I scrubbed mine with a scrub daddy in warm water with dawn then let that dry. Then wiped it down with microfiber wet cloths. It took me 6 times of wiping it down to get the cloth to come back clean. That’s what you ant to do. It’s a lot of prep work but it’ll be worth it. Moving on to mixing the paint with hardener. So after I read the directions and properly mixed the hardener it was easy to apply and spread a good bit. I recommend using a drill and a paint mixer to mix it best for about 1-2 minutes. The paint roller was great. I even used the brush. It’s a SOFT brush. But if you put plenty of product on it you’ll be fine. So the first coat is on. I waited two hours then went back. I took a damp microfiber cloth and wiped the whole tub down to make sure there weren’t any dust particles or anything. Then I waited for about half an hour for it to be dry and applied my next coat. Take your time. Don’t rush through it. Apply it with the roller. Going slowly. Make sure that you don’t have so much on it that it starts looking drippy. If you see drippy spots, roll your roller on it to spread out the paint. Don’t pour it out of the tub onto your tub either. A little goes a long way with this product t. I promise. It does feel thick when you put it on but as you roll it out it spreads well and levels easily. But don’t put globs down and expect it to do all the work. Make it smooth with your roller. Don’t push hard. Just lightly roll over spots that stand out as you’re working. Repeat the process. One tub of paint actually got one and a half coats done on my tub/shower combo. After the second coat dries in two hours wipe it down and give it a half hour to dry. Then do round three the same way. Always check for drippy spots. Sometimes it comes too fast off the roller and you don’t notice. Just blend it in with the roller. It took me three coats to be happy with it. I did a fourth just to be extra sure and all of it came from two of the three tubs. I didn’t need the third so I’m sending it back. As for how long it lasts, I’m not sure yet. You have to give it 7 days to fully cure before you shower or scrub it again. So I’ll update when I know for sure. But it looks amazing. In the pictures you can see each step. I’m very happy with it so far. Oh and if you read this far, yo should know it doesn’t stink. It smells like paint.

Perfect for my needs!
I am so very pleased with this tub and tile painting kit by DWIL! Beautifully manufactured and flawless on arrival this complete kit for touching up or repairing patches to your tub or bathroom tile is amazing. The kit contains everything you need for this process from roller to brush to gloves to instructions. I actually obtained this kit for my art work which includes painting ancient symbols on rocks and it works incredibly well for this task compared to standard paints. I am very, very, very happy with this item---thank you!

Impressed
I’m actually impressed with this product. As you can see, I was dumb and had a shower mat on the floor. I know I know, it was stupid. When I peeled it off the clean it, it ripped the paint off of my tub and stained the floor. I rent and am moving soon. I was not about to be charged $2000+ for my tub paint being ripped. As you can see, not only did it fix the paint but it also covered some of the stained areas (the good old land lord special because it was clear that the tub had been painted and sealed multiple times before). I did a few layers and this is the result. It is currently drying. I can tell that the paint is a bit bumpy but I’m unsure if I will sand it down or not. I’m also not sure how durable it will be once I use it in 24-36 hours as directed. The paint didn’t smell but I had my fan going just incase. Overall, I think it looks pretty good and I’m confident I won’t be charged at move out :)

Looks beautiful
I had high hopes for this refinishing kit and appreciated. It comes with the tools needed to get started. The waterbase formula was easy to work with on the application process was fairly straightforward as long as the surface was properly cleaned and prepare, which I did. Initially the finish looked great. The coverage was good, and it gives the tile a fresh upgrade appearance instantly. Unfortunately, my experience with a long-term durability was not as positive after a month. After allowing a product to cure and using the surface normally I began noticing small areas where the finish started to flake and chip. It has now been about a month and some succession have not held up as well as expected. I followed the instruction as was provided carefully, so I was disappointed to see coating begin to fail. However, I am not sure if it’s something that I’ve done incorrectly but again I must insist that when I first use this product, everything was flawless and looks fantastic. So with that said this is just my experience with the product after a month. I can’t see whether additional curing time would have improved the results, but based on my experience, the durability did not meet the expectation for a refinishing product intended for bathrooms and high use areas. The kit is easy to apply and provides an attractive finish initially, but I experienced issue with flaking and chipping that affect my overall satisfaction for that reason, I’m giving it a four stars.
