Seems to work
This product does remind me of something dating back to the 70's seen in commercial kitchens. So this would mean that is has a proven track record of doing what it says it would do?So as we approach summer and the windows are now needing to be opened, flies and other winged friends seem to be attracted in the conservatory but unable to exit from the route they used to get in. Further more they also are a little nosy and take an unwelcomed visit around the whole house. We are probably not the best family at having flies and things inside the house and especially the kitchen area. We would rather they make their own way out but for those who are unable to then this machine is especially for them.It does work but placement seems to make a difference. Probably obvious that the light is the attraction for them so having it in a slightly darker area seems to yield more effective results. My only issues are with the length of the mains lead and the build quality.I found it quite short and perhaps a half a meter or more would have made placement in a home easier. The build quality of this is just about OK but feels quite fragile. You probably not notice if you hand it permanently on a wall but for temporary usage then you will be reminded of this lightness of the product each time you pick it up.I still rate this five stars even with the short mains cable as for us, the benefits it brings does outweigh the usage of a short extension cable. Likewise, the flimsy build I can forgive as it is effective in what it does.

Quiet and effective
Mosquitoes have been a nuisance lately, so I gave this zapper a try. It's been quietly doing its job, and I've noticed a significant decrease in bites. It's easy to set up and use, and the collection tray is simple to clean. It doesn't emit any noticeable odor or sound, which is a plus. So far, it seems to be effectively controlling the mosquito population in my home

Does the job well
it works perfectly, we started it 1 hour ago and already 2 flies caught. There was just a tiny click of nothing at all. The light is not annoying because it is not strong. No sounds or other humming when on, I have no problems with my pets as I have a cat and a dog and no problems with them either. I'm testing for a month and I'll get a 2nd one for the room. I recommend buying this product, gnats, flies, mosquitoes and wasps they won't thank you.

UV Bug Zapper
The product has dimensions of 38.5 x 24.5cm and is 6cm deep. It has 2 UV lamps in it drawing 20 watts of power. It has a hanging chain on to attach to somewhere convenient or just to stand up somewhere. The UV is bright, the grill protects for accidental finger insertion to the electrified grid. With summer almost here it is a good addition to the home when doors and windows are being left open longer. You get a nice satisfying crack when a beastie flies into it.Reasonable price, reasonable quality - 4 Stars.

Simple and effective
My only gripe with this is that the power cable is short. Fine for countertop use, but might be an issue if you want to hang it.The rest of the bug zapper works as expected. The light lures in the flies or mosquitos, then the high power grid/mesh zaps them. There is a small tray at the bottom which you can easily take out to make cleaning easier. We are not in high mosquito season yet, but we have had quite a few zaps already. Bigger flies get zapped and sometimes manage to fly away, although you generally don't see them for long afterwards. This will be used a lot outdoors during late night BBQ's.Be aware that this isn't a 'catch-all'. Not all flying insects get lured in, but this is the same problem for all zapper lamps.----------------------------This review is for an item I received free as part of the Amazon Vine program. I always review objectively, and only award 5 stars if I feel a product is worth it and is something that I would be happy to buy.

Bang ! and their gone..
This is a handy item for a large and busy kitchen, in fact it's a necessity in the Kitchens of commercial premises. When working Flies are attracted to the UV lIght and get zapped by the High-Voltage Grid inside and for safety it's surrounded by a protective mesh to keep hands from touching the active Grid.Plug it in switch on and it silently works away keeping your food preparation area free from Flies and Bugs all day and all night.A plastic tray is fitted in the bottom of the Lamp which catches dead Flies and allows you to dispose of them. You can attach it to a wall or hang it from the celing, chains are supplied should you wish to do so.Quick & simple just fit & forget, every food business needs one of these.

Works well!
We often have a lot of flies and mosquitoes coming into our conservatory during spring and summer months so definitely wanted to try this, good quality and has worked really well in our home setting, would also be great to use in restaurants or bars and business settings.

Sanity!
Every summer I find myself being annoyed by something getting into the room and buzzing around, well not this year! This bug zapper is constructed of plastic and lightweight metal, it has a fixed power cord with a UK plug which I found long enough to use for my installation without requiring extension, there is an on off switch on one side.Mounting hardware is included in the form of a chain and spring clips for attaching to slots on the plastic part of the case, the unit can then be hung from a hook.Inside are two fluorescent lamps and the high voltage grid.Installation was a breeze, I had it hung and running in a few minutes.
