Q: is this aquarium hard to clean?

To be honest I was expecting to clean it monthly but found that it was getting dirty after 2 weeks so now I clean the inside of the bowl and change 25% of the water every 2 weeks

Q: Is it suitable for tropical fish?

Yes, I have tropical fish in mine. The only downside to the Orb is that it needs to be cleaned more frequently than I expected. It looks lovely for a couple of weeks but on the 3rd week it goes green. I have tried various water treatments and been advised by several aquatic shops to change at least 25% of the water every week, particularly because I keep it in a room which gets a lot of sunlight. I’ve had a regular fish tank before and not had to do this but maybe other people expect to.
