Sturdy and Spacious Chicken Run
I recently purchased the PawHut Large Metal Chicken Coop for my Bantam flock, and I couldn't be happier with my decision. This coop is an exceptional product that checks all the boxes for a poultry owner like me. It is well made, sturdy, constructed from excellent materials, easy to assemble, and incredibly secure in place. **Build Quality and Materials (5/5):** The build quality of this chicken coop is truly remarkable. The metal frame is robust and durable, ensuring that it can withstand the test of time and the elements. The mesh wire is of excellent quality, providing proper ventilation while keeping predators at bay. The materials used are clearly designed to last, giving me peace of mind that my chickens are safe and sound. **Assembly (5/5):** As someone who doesn't consider themselves particularly handy, I was pleasantly surprised by how straightforward the assembly process was. The included instructions were clear and easy to follow, and I was able to set up the coop in just a few hours with minimal help. PawHut has certainly made it easy for even beginners to put this coop together. **Spaciousness (5/5):** My chickens have plenty of room to move around in this coop. It's spacious and designed to provide ample space for my feathered friends, promoting their comfort and well-being. It's also easy for me to access the interior for cleaning and collecting eggs, making the daily chores much more manageable. I'm considering purchasing another one for the spring for all my new chics. **Security (5/5):** When it comes to the safety of my chickens, this coop shines. The door locks securely, and the mesh wire is strong enough to deter any potential threats. I no longer have to worry about raccoons, foxes, or persistent Hawks harming my flock. The added peace of mind this coop provides is truly invaluable.

Man, this is alright
The poles are aluminum and designed well. Very sturdy. The chicken wire is metal and coated in plastic, which is a plus. Some other ones we looked at had nylon chicken wire. The shade top is nice. It reflects heat and keeps it a lot cooler inside. Good value also. Highly recommend

Do Not Buy This!
Why did you pick this product vs others?: Purchased this last year. Before I wrote a review I wanted to see how it held up. 1. Putting it together wasn't difficult. A lot of parts and trying to get the chicken wire to go where you need it to go is trying and annoying. 2. The chicken wire in this kit is cheap and not very good. Very thin. One year later. Wire is breaking and rusting everywhere. I have to go out monthly to add more zip ties to keep it secure. 3. The cover. It has lasted longer than the chicken wire. I honestly would not buy this or anything like this again, and I would not recommend it. For the cost of this kit, the chicken wire should be much much better and much thicker! I would recommend buying a used shed and using that for a coop. Do not waste your time or money on this. It is not a secure place to keep your birds at night. Raccoons, Bobcats and other animals can get through this thin mesh.

tarp roof will do for now but won't last.
The coop was very easy to build by myself and is plenty of room for my chickens. Its one flaw is the tarp roof. It definitely isn't going to last very long from the start. A light rain already causes it to sag from collecting water. The way the tarp is attached to the frame could be better or tighter so that it has the rigidity to not do that. I will find a DIY solution for that problem. In the meanwhile, you can't beat the price for the size and it is perfect for my needs.

Great Quality 👍🏼
Very good quality. We use it to house our bunnies and it’s been up over a month through all kinds of weather and it’s great. Buy with confidence.

Easily torn mesh
Keeps the chickens in, but will not keep any predators out. The mesh cover is so weak a stray cat tore a hole and got to the chickens. Also the latch on the door gets easily jammed making a pain to go in and out.... decent starter cage but must watch closely or reinforce the mesh.

Has been really great for keeping our baby ducks protected! Only complaint is the door latch is flimsy and I wish there were support cross bars for better stability.

Not very sturdy construction. Raccoons were able to tear the cage apart and killed all the ducks on the third day after it was completed. Would not recommend this product.

Interesting creature this turned out to be. First it’s extremely flimsy unless you screw in pieces of wood across each of the corners, that includes the areas under the tarp. This will stabilize the whole thing. Next we cut long boards to fit under the bottom and screwed them in so the hutch wouldn’t lift in a wind. Nobody liked the door setup; when we spread the wire around the hutch we simply covered the door with it and cut it to open the door, then secured it with twine. The tarp was garbage! Bought a heavy duty tarp and secured it with twist ties. I secured tarp to the back end to give my birds more shade and shelter from rain and wind. There was more than enough materials to finish; took two days with the two of us to complete. Fastened rope to both ends to move the hutch around, providing new areas for the birds. Overall it has been a good outdoor home for our chickens and ducks. Recommend.
