I like it. I was hesitant to cut a hole ...
This is a first impression review. I like it. I was hesitant to cut a hole in my grip but it turned out to be no big deal. I cut it small and pushed it through. You have to be careful because the plastic coller will catch and could break off. When you tighten it with the Allen wrench it expands the coller to fit your size bar. It's a no brainer, just don't over tighten. It's plastic so could break. I positioned mine so I could turn it in when I wanted without impeding my hand. I also positioned the mount up so the mirror would be closer to me. It is a great mirror and very clear reflections. If you consider its limitations, it's plastic, you won't be sorry with this one.

Five stars but with some reservations. Read on to find out why.
There is no perfect bike mirror. My opinion is that a combination of bar-end mirror (like this one) PLUS a helmet/glasses mounted mirror is the ideal setup. Here are my comments on this mirror:PRO: I can see my quads as I pedal. If the light is right, it actually looks like I have some quads.CON: I can see my quads as I pedal. It reminds me that I'm never going to have those massive legs that some guys (and gals) have.PRO: A quick glance downward gives a quick check of the approaching traffic.CON: The mirror is closer to the road than my helmet-mounted mirror, so it's not as easy to pick out vehicles.PRO: A quick glance downward is all it takes.CON: If you are looking down, then you aren't looking ahead. This will probably get better with time.PRO: When riding "in the drops" on a fast downhill, I don't have to crane my neck way up to see the mirror. (Neck issue is the main reason I bought this mirror.)CON: When standing, the mirror isn't useful. But the helmet mirror still works.Other comments:Vibration from the road surface causes the image to shake. (Same thing happens with helmet-mounted.)Contrary to some other reviews, the mirrors I got are slightly convex. Great field of view. After four rides, I'm still tightening the adjusting screw so that the mirror doesn't shift when I hit a bump in the road. Annoying. The two mirrors came in individual boxes that Amazon just wrapped a piece of cardboard around. One of the mounting screws was lost by the time it got here. (Seller was very responsive, but it still took a week to get a replacement screw.)I'm not used to having something at the end of the bar, and just a minor bump with my hip while standing at a traffic stop sometimes moves the mirror.

Great product
I stuck this on my bike after riding with my fiance and not being able to hear clearly if someone was coming up behind us on the road. It did exactly as I thought it would and let me see behind me. I saw some people saying they couldn't see clearly through it or had a hard time seeing around themselves and positioning it correctly. I don't need to see perfectly through this small mirror so that's not a problem for me. I just wanted to know at a glance if anyone was coming, which this does just that. As for positioning, it was fairly easy I thought to set at an angle that saw past me and caught what was going on behind me. Maybe my handle bars are wider? They're just the ones that came with the bike so I don't know. Product works great for me though.

Excellent rear view, must have for cyclists!
Followed the advice of a well-respected fellow cyclist," Your safety is most important no matter how uncool you might look", I ordered and installed this mirror after much research. I can tell that, my bike's coolness was decreased several notches! Then I took it out the next day for a 50-mile tour ride through streets and highways. Then I realized my safety has increased several times over. No longer that I need crane my head to look back (ok I am old and no longer flexible), I can actually see my lane and the one next to it. This coupled with my Garmin Varia rear view radar let me be aware of cars that coming up and actually know when they were about to pass me. The radar alone works, but if you don't look back, you would not know if the car is on the next lane or about to hit you from behind. I am still working on getting used to the mirror and I think it will take a bit of time.I took one star off because despite that I tightened the screw as much as I can, I had to readjust it several times as it hit my leg when I got off the saddle at trafiic lights. There vibration on rough roads, but you can still see the view behind as the mirror is very good size (I picked the 68mm). I will go on a few more rides before knowing if it is for me as I am testing several more mirrors. But likely this will be the one I keep, at least for one of my bikes.Oh yeah, I believe I looked a bit uncool, despite my friend said I didn't. But that is ok, I will look uncool, but safer out there on the roads. Any little bit does count. I will never ride without a mirror again.

Don't understand the good reviews
I think this mirror is rubbish. I mean I really hate it. There is so much distortion and I find it really difficult to see anything. IF I can see something, I have to look more than once to identify if there is actually a car coming. I got the larger one.I does mount fine and the rotation(s) are fine, but that is pointless if the quality of the image is super poor.I am the nah sayer on this one. Don't get it. Problem is I don't think there is anything better.

Best bar end mirror yet.
This is the best bar end mirror I've found. Works great on a my straight MTB bar and my wide drop bar. I like that it uses large standard allen screws to tighten and adjust instead of tiny Phillips heads. The plastic is also really tough. I need to put a more miles on it and let it same the ground a couple times (accidentally) to find any weaknesses. The best part is the mirror itself is very high quality and clear. Just like a automobile mirror.

Don't ride without one!
Wow! These mirrors are great. I brought two and installed them on the drops. They're out of the way and allow me to see approaching vehicles from behind. The reflection is sufficient for my cycling needs and the size is large enough that I can decipher dropped cyclist and approaching vehicles. Now in addition to lightening and feeling the pressure changes as a vehicle approaches, I now have the added security of seeing what's behind me.

Highly recommend this Bike Mirror.
Great product, Amazon description is not correct, it should say fits handlebars with inside diameter between 14.8 to 22.5.Very easy to fit and adjusts to work perfectly.Highly recommend this mirror.

Fantastic product, how did I ever do without it?
How did I ever cycle country lanes without this? Certainly not a substitute for a look over your shoulder before turning etc. but improves situational awareness. The body is made of plastic but a good quality plastic, and the mirror folds back easily to prevent damage, the mirror is big enough to see behind without being that big that I would worry about extra drag. A doddle to fit with just a single allen key required, although you may need to cut a hole in the end of your bar grip like I did.

It's worth it
My old bike had a mounted mirror on the frame, which did the job in general. I've always found a mirror vital in city riding, just like I would when driving, because a quick glance now and then keeps you aware and, in turn, safer. That mirror went with the old bike when it got stolen unfortunately. When I got my new bike I felt blind without a rearview mirror. After a couple of cheaper sub-tenner purchases (what a waste) I decided to pay a tiny bit more and it's worth it. Once installed, it's really easy to tighten so that it stays firm and at the right angle, even after miles of rough road and gravel. I'm really pleased and how anyone cycles without some sort of decent mirror is beyond me.

Great buy
This mirror has exceeded my expectations! I have drop handlebars and used to have a mirror that attached to the brake hoods. That was fine but got in the way when I needed to turn the bike upside down to repair a puncture etc. Eventually, it cracked and broke from this punishment. Having the mirror on the bar ends means its out of the way.I was worried about the quality of the reflection with the mirror not being glass but it is fine - not a problem. The only slight disadvantage I have found with the positioning is when I have panniers on they block some of the view, but I'll live with that!.

Excellent bar-end mirrors!
Bought these as I ride regularly on busy roads and can confirm these are really effective!POSITIVES- Easy to fix, had to simply plug it in and tighten with an allenkey- Flexible, can be installed and adjusted to suit individual requirements- Slight convex, so excellent visibility- Allenkey included in the box- Good value for moneyNEGATIVES- Build quality is not very good, am worried this will easily break if the bike is dropped.
