A great purchase for any musical or writing enthusiasts. The book is exactly as described, containing the full book and lyrics of In the Heights. It is separated into two acts and the characters, setting, and musical numbers are clearly laid out in the first few pages. The structure is easy to follow and any overlapping lyrics are clearly indicated, allowing the reader to better understand how they work together rhythmically. As far as modern musical librettos go, In the Heights is one of the more densely packed ones, and it is definitely worth buying if you're a fan of Lin's fast-paced style.

I especially enjoyed reading this award winning musical/theatrical play script. My heart felt huge compassion for it's characters and I was amazed by how universal it's themes of home, desire for money and love are for people of all ages and other backgrounds! Even though I don't speak Spanish I understood most, if not all, of the book's relatively few Spanish words. I thus highly recommend the purchase of this fantastic piece of modern theatrical art to all. Especially now that it has been turned into a Hollywood class movie!
