Helps early pattern matching skills
A really nice traditionally made toy made from materials which are not going to stick around forever (good thing). Excellent for developing brains to create and work with patterns by matching colours. Sure to help foundational abstract reasoning. Good stuff!

Not bad
This is a nice little puzzle game for young kids and my 2.5 year old loves it (or did for the few days he played with it).The pieces are quite loose in the channels which is great for them to move about, but there was a little too much wobble for my liking - but I accept this couple just be personal taste. As usual there's nothing in the way on instructions, so we assumed that you shook the unit up and got the balls situated into the grooves, then had to match the sliders with the colour combo of the balls...no idea if this is what was intended but it worked well enough for us.

Beautiful, well made and educational
I love wooden toys and this is no exception.I was a little worried when I first opened it as the movable pegs seemed a little loose. On closer inspection though, they are held in well and just offer good movement, especially for little hands. It’s not very big or heavy, so again, perfect for young kids. The concept is that you gently shake the top smaller balls into a random pattern and ‘lock’ them in with the t-bar and then re-arrange the bottom pegs into that order.I gave it a quick go, and as an adult, I had it arranged in a few minutes, but certainly a young child will take significantly longer. I think it may be a little challenging for a 3 year old, but it depends on their individual development. You really can’t go wrong with this. It’s beautifully made and educational and best of all….. it doesn’t take batteries! 🤣

A nice little product that may usefully engage some young children
I’m a little unsure how best to rate this product, so I’ve settled on a 3. On the positive side, it’s made primarily of wood, which is much better than the plastic so often found in children’s toys. Secondly, the four nice bright colours used in the product lend it an air of simplicity, which is also welcome. On the negative side, there were no instructions explaining how to use the product. Perhaps they were simply missing from my set, or perhaps the aim of the product was deemed so obvious that no instructions were thought necessary. Or perhaps – and this is the conclusion that I’ve reached – it was decided that the purpose of the product can be derived from its online title (a ‘Matching Puzzle’).Anyway, the immediately obvious use of the puzzle is to arrange the sixteen wooden disks into four columns of the same colour. But what to do with the sixteen little balls contained within the top of the puzzle? ….. Do you do the same with them?? Well, the answer to that latter question is ‘No’! The purpose of the little balls is simply to generate a pattern of 4x4 balls that you must then replicate using the sixteen wooden disks. So – by shuffling and re-arranging the little balls – you have a (more or less) constantly changing challenge. Just replicate the random pattern! So, depending on the age of the user, this product can aid the development of (1) manual dexterity; (2) basic colour recognition; and (3) analytical capability and logic (how am I going to do this …..?). So I think it’s a nice little product that may usefully engage some young children – but I think that some simple instructions should be summarised on the packaging.

Lovely first logic puzzle
This is a nice size, wth the board measuring 14.5cm across, 17.5cm from top to bottom, and 1cm deep - plus another 1cm for the large movable pieces. The size makes it very portable for taking away or when visiting people for a day. There are no rough patches, and no sharp corners (all rounded off).I have another board similar to this, but the pattern to be matched is determined by the draw of a card. Lose the cards and the game is useless. This one has no cards, with the pattern being generated using the small beads in the section at the top of the board. The lack of cards (and the size) also makes it more suitable for use when travelling. When moving the larger pieces around, there is a 'holding bay' going upwards on the left hand side of the board. Once a child learns the value of this it becomes much quicker to complete the puzzles. These larger pieces are on plastic pegs, which allow them to be moved around very easily (I'm uploading a photo that attempts to show this). This is currently priced at £10.99 (as it was when I ordered), with a 15% discount taking it down to £9.34 (which wasn't there when I ordered). I'm quite happy with that as a price for this, as it's a fun but educational toy / game.

Montessori wooden board!
The item arrived in a nice presentation in own cardboard box, inside the box you'll find the wooden toy great quality with smooth edges and no sharp corners very safe for the little hands, also colorful and engaging. In my opinion a bit challenging even for myself so definitely not suitable for 2 to 3 years old as may lead to frustration as the little coins are a bit hard to introduce through the channels but good to give a try and also great for eye hand coordonation, fine motor skills, color recognition and counting also concentration, lots of skill to be learned.

Great
Great, would an educational toy that is easy enough for little ones to learn to play with by themselves. It is quite lightweight so could be a good option for car journeys or travel days. It is made out of a lovely wooden material and is aesthetically pleasing so overall, I would definitely recommend.

Nicely made logic game
I received this product through the Amazon Vine programme and this review is based on my girlfriend's opinions.I got this for my 3 year old nephew to try and it has been a bit of a success as it has kept him quite engaged. The puzzle is nicely made from wood and well thought out. The pattern creator works well and the main puzzle pieces slide around quite easily. While the 3 year old doesn't always want to follow the pattern he likes moving the pieces, naming the colours and telling me I'm not doing it the right way. For just under a tenner with a voucher I think this puzzle is quite good value and should last a while.

This is a clever little contraption!
I bought two of these, one for a friend’s small child and one for me. I love gifts that help grow brains. And fine motor skills. It’s a fun toy. I like that it’s made of wood. The colors are bright. Each time you play is different. A few times the situation can be more challenging than other times. Overall, it’s maybe a little too easy for an adult. My only complaint is that I have a little trouble distinguishing between the blue and the green.I’ve never seen anything like this and I love how unique it is. I can imagine it entertaining a child for long stretches of time.

Simple
Simple toy for sorting colors. What you see is what you get.The knobs are the most interactive and accessible part of this toy, just not sure they are very durable. They feel a little wobbly. Time will tell if they can hold up to students using. The top portion of the toy is also a color sorting activity but it’s more difficult since it takes more planning and motor control to complete. Good, but I don’t think it’s the feature of this toy, at least not for my audience.4/5 Good toy for color sorting, just not sure about the durability

A decent brain teaser even for adults.
I first thought this would be too easy for my kids. So I tried it out first, now i'm not saying it was difficult, but it does make you think. This is a great problem solving toy for a kid. It is well made and I love wooden toys because they last forever with proper care.

maybe really 3.5 stars? it's colorful
ThreeYearOld enjoyed tilting the toy to make the upper level beads move around. He also enjoyed the clicking sound that the toy makes when it moves. The problem that we had with this toy is that the top beads are supposed to be held in place by the "T" shaped piece and it doesn't have anything that holds it steady. As soon as the toy gets tilted the "T" piece moves and all the upper beads move to new locations. It's frustrating to be matching the pattern with the lower buttons and then have the upper beads move to a NEW pattern. It just needs something that would have kept the "T" shaped piece in place until you wanted to move it out of the way to make a new pattern with the beads.

Great for imaginative play
My little one loves to shake this and maneuver the pegs. We are still working on his understanding of matching the pegs to the pattern he shakes up top. However, he loves it and I think this will be great as he grows. It isn't as easy as it looks and requires out of the box thinking which I believe he will excel at.
