Best Digital Cooking Thermometer for Roasting & Grilling - Perfect Roast Thermometer - Meat Thermometer Instant Read

I love the design of this thermometer. It's very easy to use and comes with a very handy guide with various types of meats and what each one recommends for optimal cooking temperature for rare, medium, well done and ground. I love the digital read out so there's no guess work. You can even set it for Celsius for Fahrenheit. The stainless steel probe is long enough so I know I'm getting an accurate reading every time. It has definitely made a huge difference in my roasting times, now I know when it's done to perfection. I would highly recommend this product!

This product will eventually give you the temp of your food, but BEWARE! If you are using this to test cakes, be prepared for it to take several minutes to give you that final temperature, meanwhile your oven is drastically cooling while you have the door open. This item is not intended to be left in the oven during baking. I do not recommend this product for it's advertised purpose.

is not an instant read as it claims. also if you are making candy do not depend on this thermometer. the steam from cooking will cause it to shut off.

I side with MountainGirl's review. This is not an instant read thermometer. It takes many seconds or what seems like an eternity when the oven door is opened to get an accurate reading.

I really like the speed with which the thermometer works, It registers the temp with in seconds. I use it for both baking and for roasting meat. It's easy to clean, and has a self storage case. The numbers are large and easy to read. It's exactly what I was looking for.

Pretty kool, easy to use works well clear # numbers easy cleanup.

Unfortunately, this did not work when we received it. The digital display shows only incomplete numbers. We are returning it.
