I bought this SX Trade Strength mortar repair to do some repointing work around my brick house. Application was easy and the mortar itself feels good quality once applied. It sets well and is ideal for small repair jobs where you don’t want to mix up a full batch of mortar. The main thing to be aware of is the colour. It’s quite a light grey, and in my case it didn’t match the existing mortar on my house. The repair stands out more than I’d like, and I’ll need to find a darker option in the future to blend it in better. Overall, the quality of the product itself emphasizes reliability, but matching the existing mortar colour is essential for cosmetic repairs. Good for structural or functional fixes, but be careful if appearance matters.

Good enough although it could maybe do with a little more moisture through it in order to help stick to a dry surface. Easily rectified and other than that it does its job well enough.

I bought two tubes, it was easy to use although it was a little hard to squeeze out at first. Before starting you need to ensure any loose material is cleared out of the gaps to be filled otherwise the filler can fall out. The colour is a light grey which blended well with my cement which is around 30yrs old, I’m happy with the results. Like the Bruce Willis film it Dries Hard. I know!

It seems to set quite nice and is basically like mortar but as its so firm and rigid in the tube you need to be like popeye to squeeze it out. Tube split eventually.

I used it in the UK when it was 14 Celsius outside after it had been dry for a day or so. The tube was perfectly soft and easier with a manual applicator gun to get out than bathroom silicone sealant has been. I wetted the brick surfaces before applying it and smooshed it with fingers into cracks, skimming over with plastic old loyalty store card. It did a brill job of filling in screws holes in bricks, bits of broken missing mortar and about doors were mortar has fallen off from them slamming over the years. Way easier than mixing mortar in a bucket and far superior stick to the surface. This was my first time using mortar in a tube for small jobs and I’m a convert. It’s saved me a fortune in getting someone out to do it.
