This thing is very cool so far! The preloaded software and games library are very good. Having all of this on such a small, portable unit is really fun and fairly astonishing.It's not *that* complicated to add more games but there are many hundreds on this load already from many different systems. For nostalgia purposes, I even figured out how to enable the emulator for the relatively unpopular Atari 5200 console and add a game library that I downloaded roms for (hint: download Onion Desktop Tools to your laptop and use the provided USB SD card reader, not an SD card slot directly in the laptop itself because the software can't see that). I also took the advice of another reviewer and bought a high quality, name brand micro SD card onto which to transfer the files from the provided off-brand micro SD card because they supposedly have had reliability issues. I'll then use that new card to run the unit. Before you do make the new copy, you'll need to change the new SD card formatting to Fat32. The Desktop Tools mentioned above can do this. (Of course I also backed up all the preloaded files, 100 gb or so worth, onto a portable hard drive for even more reliability.)

I never leave reviews for anything, but I had to say something for those that are on the fence about this. It’s totally worth paying the few extra bucks for the system with the pre installed onionOS and games. I’m not very handy with computers, so this saved me probably so much time, sitting on my computer, reading guides, researching and watching videos on how to properly get a miyoo mini plus up and running with the newest OS and then learning where to find and install the games I want. So thank you. It was already done for me. I’d gladly pay for that. I bought the miyoo mini plus strictly for pokemon. That’s all I cared about, and I wasn’t disappointed. It came with them. And ALOT more. It has an extensive library of games, thousands and thousands of them, from original gameboy titles, gameboy advanced titles, DS titles, NES, supernintendo, Sega genesis, PlayStation 1, arcade classics, you name it. It has them. From pac man, to Zelda, to Supermario, Kirby, crash bandicoot, Spyro, street fighter to mortal kombat.. the list goes on and on. It’s like holding my childhood in the palm of my hand, literally. And to be able to share this with my children is an amazing thing. Hands down the best 70 bucks you’ll ever spend. Don’t hesitate. Just do it. You won’t regret it. Thanks again.

Awesome little gaming system. Feels good in the hand. The graphics look really good. It worked rigt out of the box and the charge time is great.

I love this product, its simply awesome all those games from my childhood right in the palm of my hand. It could get a little uncomfortable due to the size after a gaming session but still this little device is a carry on to flights and everywhere you have to wait a while.

This is the best $75 I’ve ever spent in my life. I can’t believe I have every retro Mario, Kirby, Pokémon, Zelda, etc. in the palm of my hand. It’s almost overwhelming in the best way possible.

I absolutely loved the 1st day I had this. There were games on there I had forgotten ever playing & ones i absolutely loved for along time. Then the next day it froze up and Onion was missing and all the games, basically everything on the sd card.I highly recommend also buying a 128gb microsd card from a reputable company, putting everything from their sd card onto your computer in the very beginning. From research this seems to be a major problem. I would love to get back that same set of games it came with, but the sd card will not even show up on my computer now and is shown as unmounted on the Miyoo Mini Plus.They really should have an option to buy this with a higher quality sd card.So if you want to buy this and your expectations not be ruined, that’s what I recommend.If you do not decide to get a quality sd card make sure you completely shut it off after playing or charging it. I believe that’s why mine froze up, because I didn’t hold down the power button for 5 seconds and let the green light shut off.I’d really like to have that same set of games and add new ones, but as far I know they’re not available as a full set & I’ll have to go to different sources for them and not know what I missed.Don’t get me wrong, I love it, but it shouldn’t be bundled with a subpar sd card.If they send me an sd card with all of that stuff on it, I’ll give them more stars & change my review.I probably would’ve been happier buying it standalone, not knowing what I know now and taking the extra money to buy an sd card.
