Yep, they're scissors!
This is a basic pair of scissors from Fiskars, a name brand famous for making higher end products (especially for textile/fabric use). These are intended more for occasional office use, and while the handle material is a little cheaper, they seem well built where it matters in the actual blades themselves. The handle design is a generic bidirectional one that works equally well for lefties and righties, so it's a good choice for a pair of scissors to stock in a shared office supply room or educational environment. The blades are full length, and these aren't in any way "safety scissors" - in the words of a famous TV show personality, "these blades will cut".Not a lot else to say - you don't get the famous yellow handles and I wouldn't use these for precision work or for any kind of fabric application, but for general office use they're great.

Overpriced for basic scissors
These 8” Simply Fiskars scissors are very lightweight and feature a slim profile with no frills. The grip where you put your hand does not have any contours to make it more comfortable to hold, and it does not feel exceptionally sturdy. If you are looking for a very basic pair of no-frills scissors, then these will suffice. However, they seem overpriced at their current selling price of $6.45. I would expect to be charged no more than $2-3 for scissors of this quality.

Choppy
These aren't that comfortable to hold, but I suppose that is partially because they are for right and left handers. They are thin and don't seem particularly great, but they are functional. When cutting they aren't that smooth but a bit choppy. Will probably last a long time, just not that comfortable or that smooth.

A little sticky, but work well
These scissors cut well but stick a little at the end (when completely closed). They seem pretty well made - not too cheap. I mean, they're Friskars so they're supposed to be pretty good. I wouldn't call them high quality, but they're decent.I'd get the 2-pack - it's a bargain.

Work left- or right-handed, handles have generous cut-outs. I’ve had amazing luck with Fiskars.
I’ve had amazing luck with Fiskars scissors. I’ve purchased various student models that have lasted through 3 kids and decades of use - some use pretty destructive. This Fiskars is a general all-purpose offering - Simply by Fiskars. The profile is skinnier, thinner, than my similar student version, it lays flat. The cutting blades are 3.5” compared to 3” on my student scissors. The handle accommodates left- or right-handed use - perfect, and has generous cut-outs - more room for fingers than on my student’s. Half of my family is left-handed, half right-handed, all can use these scissors.

Simple, functional scissors.
These are a great pair of basic household scissors. They comfortably fit an adult hand and they do exactly what they're supposed to do. The blades glide smoothly. It is exactly what the listing says - simple, but effective. Exactly what I was looking for in a basic pair of scissors to help me cut paper, tags, or whatever else needs cutting. If you are getting these because you don't have any other scissors at home know that while they are secured with the plastic ties you see in the photo, they are very easily stretched and broken by hand. I was able to get these out of them without needing the aid of a second pair of scissors. Good value for a basic set of scissors.

Sharp, lightweight
This is a nice pair of scissors. My initial impression of them was that they didn't feel very heavy duty. I changed my mind after I opened them and tried them though. They do seem to be well made and are very lightweight. They have smooth action and are very sharp. I'm happy with these so far, but only time will tell how well they hold up.

Value scissors
Got these to keep at my desk at work.Pros:- Very sharp blades- Blades are close to nicely spacedCons:- Blades are thin- Handle plastic is thinBottom line: These are budget scissors. They cut very well and easily "glide cut" through wrapping paper, but don't expect much more.
