Does it work in passive mode? w/o usb power just passtrhu 1 amp to 1 set of speakers?

The instructions are to use the meter in passive mode by using the amp-B and speaker-2 selections. This is what I use and it works perfectly. BTW, turning the meter on while listening does not introduce any “pop” or other noise.

What other model from douk provides switching 2 in and 2 out using rca plugs in lieu of banana plugs?

This is speaker selection device so it uses speaker inputs and outputs. Douk does make component switching devices that will have RCA inputs and outputs for audio components (not speakers). Not sure if they have 2 in, 2 out but there are many others that do. Search RCA audio switcher

does it have an internal mic and not used as a switch?

Since it doesn't include the wall wart for the usb power cable, what amperage is necessary? 0.5 amps, 1 amp, 2 amps?

It is 1 Amp, it says it right under the USB jack. You can see it in the Amazon pictures.

Overall Good

The Unit is overall good, looks good, there is a peak indicator LED which i felt was not required, the other draw back is the the swing indicatore needs to be adjusted every time you increase the volume. The cost of the unit is on the higher side could have been lower.

Quite expensive and there's no black Dail or white dail option available. Backgroud multicolour lights look very cheap chinese toy type.
