This idea is outstanding. I bought 3, one for each car. Note it has a small LED green light to let you know its on duty. At night when very dark its nice to get into the car with too. But if you have a bad battery, at -40C, it could flatten your battery below needed cranking amps after a month or 2, depending upon your Amp Hr battery size, age, condition, etc. or it could go for more than year before it flattens a large good battery. So run your car more than once a year, once a month in the winter. Love the fact that it looks after stray voltages, battery shorts, EMP, CME, lightning strikes, ground faults, while directly connected to the computer. Best car computer protection you can get, even if you don't worry about EMP/CME stuff.

Of coarse how do you know it’s working? The little green light comes on. Gives a dash of hope it’s working. Hope it never has to be tried out.

Plugs right in and a little light comes on and stays on. They say it won't drain the battery. I guess time will tell. Bought one for each car hope it works if I ever need it. My Update unless you drive your vehicle every day, chances are your battery will run down. Just be aware of that. I am retired and don't go out for days at a time so one of my cars it's battery ran down and needed charged. So I keep my cars battery plugged into a trickle charger.

Ask me again after the EMP. Mine has a green glowing light on top which I am sure pulls a little juice from the battery. Still glad I have it.

I’ve used the T.R.A.P. Systems before and have done quite a bit of research into EMP/CME protection for many years, and Grok gives my protection in total a 8/10 to protect against EMP intensity of 50kV/m or CME like the 1989 Quebec blackout. But I have also added in other products of faraday defense, like their vehicle Transient clamping ferrites, DEFCON 270,000amp SPD, T.R.A.P. Between secondary battery terminals, and I made my own TRAPs and breadboards with SLD33-018 and V24ZA50P MOVs for 12v sockets(TVS with the MOV attached to it). Breadboard wires go between battery terminals and has 4 movs and 10 SMAJ16CA, coated in electrical glue.
