WEAR IT, WORK IT, LOOK GOOD
My normal choice of safety shoe is a boot style, so when I was advised to start wearing a trainer style because of an issue with my Achillies, I was a little apprehensive, but pleasantly surprised.Firstly, these boots came in a rugged orange and black box, which is great for storing with my other shoes and trainers. Upon opening I was pleasantly surprised. The trainers are nice looking, well finished and with a rugged sole. The sole is not as deep as my other safety boots but I don’t see this being a problem. The pattern on the trainer is very mesmerising, and the fabric is very soft. I do question whether the fabric will catch and pull during extensive industrial work. The laces are long enough for double knots. The shoes came with a padded innersole, which without realising, I just put in the boots straight away. However when I tried on the trainers for the first time, I found them quite tight. I decided to take the inner sole back out, then realised the inner sole already in the shoe was removable, so I swapped them over and found the trainer much more comfortable to wear. I wondered whether they could have supplied the two different inner soles separately but the inside of the trainers doesn’t look as nice with no inner sole in it.Now this may have all been documented in the enclosed ‘User Instructions’ but the writing was too small for me to read comfortably.I will most probably wear these for site visits rather than demolition work as they look smart and will keep my feet safe onsite, but I will swap out when doing heavy demolition work, to avoid destroying the fabric.Overall the trainers were smart looking, comfortable, supportive and not too heavy to wear. Cost wise they are a little on the high side for demolition work, but as smart safety trainers for onsite and meeting customers they hit the mark. Highly recommend these for anyone who needs that added foot protection!

Carbon toe caps
Unlike many shoes with tougher toe caps, these don't look like industrial footwear. The grey cotton mesh exterior makes them look like a walking shoe, and the toe does not protrude too much.Pretty comfy, but not perfect. Shaping round the ankle could be better

Very Impressed
I have wide size 10 feet and often find it challenging to find a shoe or trainer that's comfortable. I've also had issues with steel toecap shoes in the past that rub my toes. These have suitable space that makes them really comfortable. The area where the carbon toecap meets the rest of the shoe fabric has some minor padding that prevents any edge rubbing the foot. The insole is easily removable so you can swap them out if you need to but bear in mind that this may compromise any anti-static properties.I have a path around my house which often becomes slippery when raining, to the point where I divert onto the grass in the rain. These were great and did not slip at all.The sole has good cushioning at the heel and it's good to see they're oil resistant. They are lighter than other protective shoes I've had but you do know you're wearing them, they're not as light as a pair of trainers would. They're not the most stylish but when you've work clothes/overalls on people don't notice.Very practical, easy to put on and take off and comfortable to wear - exactly what I needed

Robust and comfortable, needs insole
I'll start by saying these trainers were much more substantial than I had expected. While the upper is a woven textile, it's thick and protective, not thin like some lightweight regular trainers. The fit is good: I take a 39, and these fit comfortably with plenty of toe space and room for thick socks and an insole, although people with broad feet might find them a little tight. The soles are good and hard and resistant to rough and sharp surfaces, with enough tread for grip but not so much that they'll get clogged with small rocks or debris. The toe protection is comfortable without the obvious hard edges you sometimes find with safety shoes; and there is comprehensive detail provided with the shoes about how they conform with various safety standards sufficient to satisfy a Health & Safety rep.I've docked a star for two reasons: first because what the listing describes as the 'anatomically designed insole' lacks arch support. The inner footbed (underneath the removable insole) isn't shaped with arch support either, but this means an orthopedic insole of your own choice is better accommodated - a good idea if you're on your feet all day, and for me necessary with these shoes. Second is that there's no information provided about how to clean these shoes. I've treated them with a waterproofing spray as a peventative, and I assume that otherwise it will be a matter of cleaning them off as I go - they're work shoes, so I don't need immaculate! Recommended.

Stick to your size
I usually wear an 11 but tend to get a 12 for the extra width, where as these seem like wide trainers so could have stuck with an 11 as these were a little on the long side.Quality feels very good, I can tell these will work well in a construction area where steel toe is most necessary. They're a bit flat footed though when you put them on so I'd recommend a soft insole if you plan on walking in these for a long period.Other than that, great shoes, good design. Impressed with the quality.
