The hype is real
Wow, where to start with this watch? First, it's an absolutely classic design as an homage to the Tudor Black Bay 58 which itself is an homage to the early Submariners. I had heard all of the glowing reviews for San Martin and purchased another model before this one, but the one I recieved looked like it was hit by a truck before it got to me. I wanted to give SM another shot and picked this model and I'm very glad that I did. Keep in mind, this is a sub $200 watch we're talking about, so everything I'm about to write should be qualified by the price point of the watch. Overall, this thing is punching well about its weight class. First, the case is a nice brushed stainless steel with a one piece screw on caseback, like an old school diver should have. It also wears very nicely on my 7" wrist. Definitely a nice all around size. This watch would be just as at home around the house as it would be out to a nice restaurant. Crystal seems to be decent quality as well, which I believe is sapphire, although it does have some reflectiveness. Slight dome to it as well. Second, the bracelet is realatively high quality. The clasp is actually machined, not stamped which I was pleasantly surprised to see. It features threaded link pins which I do appreciate. It does not have the tool-less micro adjustments like the last SA model I ordered, but it is of nice quality nonetheless. My plan with this watch was to put it on a James Bond nato strap, like a super budget version of the classic 007 Submariner. Only problem now is that this bracelet is so nice, I'm not sure I want to take it off anymore.Third, the movement is standard Seiko NH35 which means good durability and good accuracy. However, the NH35 is a movement with a date complication and this SA does not feature a date window. So there is a ghost position when you pull out the crown. Not a big deal. Movement does feature hacking and hand winding which is nice. The bezel feels pretty good. Nice tactile "clickiness". Not the best I felt, but it is good. Last, the lume on this thing is impressive. I have always held Seiko lume in very high regard, even when compared to some of my higher end watches. While this one may not be quite that good, it's not too far off either.Overall, if you are considering a Rolex/Tudor/classic diver homage piece in this price range from some of the Chinese producers, ie Steeldives, Pagani Designs, Berny, etc I would highly recommend this one, you will not regret it.If you are just looking for a decent dive watch for daily wear, I would say you are still better off with an Orient in the same price range.Overall, great purchase, very happy with the watch and looking forward to seeing how it holds up.

Quality and a great value
This watch looks great and feels great on the wrist. I did my homework on this San Martin so I was very aware of what this watch is (and isn’t). It looks amazing and is very comfortable to wear, the band feels great and with a thinner case, the overall feel of the fit is excellent. It’s a GREAT value, I’m about to order the black version as well. Love it.

Worth the money!
I had a few watches in the last years, and my expectations were quite low on this one.It appears to be really nice.I want to point out the bracelet, which is made from solid stainless steel. The clasp is also made very well, it’s not made from thin sheet metal but also solid and feels well made.In general, also the case is well made, the diver bezel has a pleasing turn action. The blue lume is good, way better than that on a similar Bulova watch. If you think the dial looks a bit boring you should have a look on other watches from this brand, they got some really nice ones on different models.

Beautiful watch, great lume, reliable Seiko movement
The watch is top notch and exactly what I expected from San Martin. The downside ended up being I put the order in on July 8th and just now received it today (August 20th). The delivery date was pushed back four different times. Still, I got what I wanted, it just took longer than expected.

I own the real thing, and this is great
Like the title says, I also own a Black Bay 58. The San Martin is a VERY close second in terms of fit and finish, and the Seiko movement is indestructible. From a normal distance, this watch is indistinguishable from a genuine Tudor. That said, it isn't pretending to be something it isn't: The dial and clasp are clearly marked as being a San Martin, which is fantastic because a San Martin is certainly nothing to be ashamed of. Better fit and finish than any Seiko I've owned, and an excellent watch all around.

This has got to be SM's best watch!
I have at least a dozen SM watches now, this one is the best. The lume glows even in bright daylight, wish they all glowed this well. Actual width is 41mm at the bezel, and it's 12.3mm thick. The economizing of the bracelet is very well done, the pins will never walk out like the screws can do, and the clasp is thinner and more svelte, there is nothing to complain about with this bracelet unless you dont like the 100 dollar savings it represents. Timing is very good at +5 @ day after a month of breakin. Honestly, the watch is so perfect is boarders on boring, but it is absolutely stunning.
