Great product at a great price

I had an old set of Traveler's Choice that seemed indestructible. It seemed like a no brainer when it came time to replace that set that I would go with another Traveler's Choice. BIG MISTAKE. These suitcases are nothing like they used to make them. One of the only things I like about them is that the wheels are super smooth and easy to maneuver even if you're hands are full. But what isn't great about these includes: - Both my husband and I got new sets of these. The very first time we used them, the outer zippers were destroyed by the airlines. I haven't had this happen EVER yet it happened on two pieces the very first time. Cheap materials - The hardcase material itself is very flimsy compared to older models. It flexes a lot, especially if it's full or heavier - The inner zippers are complete garbage. Especially on the carryon size, I've had issues with it splitting from the very first time I used it and even if it's empty. Terrible construction - Warranty service is terrible as well. Extremely rude and not helpful - If you are right handed, these are AWFUL. This wasn't even something I would have thought of but every suitcase I have owned has the side handle on the right side (if you're facing it from the front, it's on your right). These are on the left. The first time I went to lift my carry on, I was so disoriented. It sounds small and stupid but if you're used to lifting your luggage a certain way, this may drive you crazy. Unfortunately it was past the return deadline by the time I discovered these many issues so I'm stuck with them. They're not cheap pricewise, but they sure are cheap quality wise.

I was VERY excited to receive this product! I have only ever used it as carry-on luggage. I am giving it a one-star rating because it only held up for 9 months. I did not purchase the three year warranty and am wondering if the company will do anything as it has been less than a year of purchase.
