This product was recommended to me by a chiropractor/kinesiologist back in the early 2002 when I was suffering brutal muscle cramps in my legs as I was laying on his adjustment table. Upon proper daily usage, my legs cramps have all but disappeared. I preload with this product before cycling races or working in hot & humid conditions. It's helps me go much further and less prone to cramping in highly competitive races. It's definitely top notch product that works great. A much needed Magnesium supplement that is lacking in most people's diets. Definitely supplies the needed Magnesium electrolytes to muscles and tendons to prevent cramping. I have used this product for over 20 years and swear by it's effectiveness. It definitely calms muscles after high endurance activities. My son's use this product religiously after football and Lacrosse workouts, practices and games for muscle recovery and cramp prevention. I have suggested this product to many friends and colleagues who suffer from muscle cramps after surgeries or athletic events. They all are regular users now. Give it a try. You won't be disappointed.

I’ve been taking Designs for Health magnesium glycinate for close to 15 years and swear by it for sleep, muscle recovery and most importantly, regularity. Great product! I agree with other reviewers that the switch from glass bottles to plastic bottles is disappointing. In fact, the most current order I just received smells and tastes different. Please return to glass bottles! I have taken this daily for 2 years. It was recommended to me by my doctor. It helps keep leg cramps away and keeps my bowel movements regular without causing diarrhea.

I have used this product for years and I love it. Since they changed to plastic bottles, there is an awful scent and taste. I am trying to keep the lid off to see if that helps. Please go back to using glass bottles!

I don't really trust reviews, even on Amazon as there are so many fake/paid for reviews now. I am writing this review because I owe it the makers of this product. I have had a port placed in my upper chest for the last 5 years because my magnesium was dangerously low (1.1). In the beginning I tried Slo Mag, and every other OTC product and nothing worked. Finally my hematologist resigned to port placement and weekly infusions of magnesium. The hospital protocol was: blood work to determine mag level- if below 1.8 infuse for 3 hours and then re check within 72 hours. EVERY single time they rechecked there was NO CHANGE. So another infusion within 72 hours and recheck. And then another infusion and re check. This charade went on for 5 years. I had to quit my job and couldn't even qualify for disability in California, even though I was in the hospital 3 days a week. I started researching magnesium supplements online and read and double checked the really good reviews on Designs for Health on Amazon. I was very skeptical when I received my first order but took it religiously 4 capsules a day. Within a month my magnesium levels were rising and for the first time in 5 years I was going in once a month for infusions. 2 months ago I had them surgically remove the port and I have been taking JUST the DFH mag capsules and my magnesium is up to 1.8 ( low, but not low enough to need an infusion). Goodbye thrice weekly hospital visits and hello life! I want to emphasize this : I AM NOT PAID FOR THIS REVIEW AND DID NOT RECEIVE THIS PRODUCT AT ANY DISCOUNT FOR THIS REVIEW. I HAVE NO AFFILIATION WITH THIS COMPANY. That said, the product is not cheap,especially for how many I take each day, so if DFH wants to employ me as a spokesperson -bring it on! Kidding, not kidding. But seriously it's nice to have my life back.

I don’t have a star review but so many questions. First two bottles I purchased of same product worked beautifully. The purchase beginning of Dec ‘25 was distinctly different, from the new “vitamin smell” to lack of effectiveness. First two bottles cured my restless and cramping of legs at night, . with a noticeable relaxed sensation within 30 min of taking two capsules. I also felt a more calm feeling during the daytime hours (I took two capsules as prescribed one-two hours before bedtime). New bottle from December ‘25 does not provide same sensations. Not really sure what’s going on. Will be contacting seller.
