Decent quality, differs from the original Beyerdynamic model
This review is for SOULWIT Cooling-Gel Replacement Earpads for Beyerdynamic DT100/DT102/DT108/DT109/DT150/DT190 Headphones.I installed them on a set of DT150 Beyerdynamic headphones. The original earpads for the Beyerdynamic DT150 headphones fall apart disappointingly quickly. The material starts to leave black marks on your ears as they dissolve into gunk.I tried to replace them with another earpad made by a company beginning with 'G...' but when I tried to install them they immediately ripped on the part that goes around the headphone, so I thought I'd try these instead.First thing to note is that these earpads are reinforced by stitching in the area that stretches around the headphones. This made careful installation much easier, and they didn't tear when installed. The material feels good. The sides are a kind of dense fabric and the tops (the area with most contact with your face) are the 'ice silk' described in the description. They feel comfortable, perhaps not quite as 'spacious' as the originals, but perfectly fine for my ears. They also seem to provide quite a good 'seal' against the skin. The 'cool' sensation is a real thing. When you first put them on you can feel the cool gel, the cooling effect is quite noticeable. I actually found it a little disconcerting, unless it's a really hot room you're not going to want, let alone need this, but fortunately the effect disappears after a few seconds as your body temperature warms the gel. These replacement pads are not exact replicas of the originals. The neat plastic rim that fits snugly around the perimeter of the headphones in the original is replaced by something more approximate. It's a looser fit that also is wider and covers more of the back of the headphone. Because of this it doesn't feel as perfectly fitted to the headphones as the originals, but it is possible to seat them right and once done it doesn't affect wearing them at all.The original pads have a foam insert to protect the drivers that is attached permanently to the rest of the earpad, but with these a separate 'floating' foam insert is provided. This is held in place by the earpad against the headphone and nothing else. I think it might have been preferable to have the earpad be a single unit, but some people have issues with the quality of the foam and prefer to use the original for sound quality purposes. I'm a little cynical and doubt that the foam makes any difference to the sound quality. It seems to work ok for me and hasn't fallen out yet.The original Beyer replacements are at least double what I paid for these and the other popular alternative company's product that I tried was poor quality as previously explained. So overall I'm pretty pleased with these! My headphones look better, although different to how they were new, I've saved a few pounds and I don't have black goop on my ears after listening to stuff. My hope is that in a year or two they won't decompose like the original earpads and if that is the case and they are longer lasting than the originals I may upgrade my rating. Let's see how we get on.It's odd that Beyer make such a great sounding pair of headphones that have earpads that fall to pieces within a year or so. I've previously had headphones whose pads last for literally decades.

Cooler Indeed!
My BD pads were getting sticky, as they do, so I decided to give these a try. They are cooler and there is not much difference in sound quality from original pleather pads. In comparison, BD velour pads change the sound profile more than these. The SOULWIT pads are a bit stretchy, which makes them easier to install than BD pads. The included foam inserts are cheap, thin, the wrong type of foam and do not fit the insert recess, if installed, they would definitely alter the sound profile. My BD inserts were fine, so not a problem. If I encounter any durability issues I will edit this review, but so far the pads are excellent. Cheers.
