Kit recommends 7+ but I would imagine an intelligent younger child would enjoy this as well with adult help. I purchased this kit for my 6 1/2 YO for Easter and am so glad I did! All materials, including the thread & needles, were included and the final unicorn looked just as pictured in the photos. I liked how multiple add-on shapes were included in the kit so my child could creatively make this their own design. I also liked that this kit was simple enough for a beginning sewer but also felt it would still be a cute & fun craft project for a more advanced one. The only thing that was not included was a finished product photo for reference. I recommend printing one from the product post to include if giving as a gift. I know I will be purchasing more of these kits to use for kids birthday party gifts, it’s a little more unique than more traditional ones.

I just recently finished one of the unicorns and she looks beautiful. It takes time to unravel the hair but it is worth it. It has ok instructions but it also has instructions about how to use different stitches in sewing. But the finished product is so cute and fits in with my collection of unicorns.

It is a gift for my 7 year old niece who loves to do crafts and loves unicorns. Nice variety to pick from and a great craft for her. I also feel the price was very affordable.

This sewing kit for beginners is excellent!!! I helped my 8 year old granddaughter make a unicorn and she was so proud of it when it was finished! I love that you can choose to decorate it the way you want allowing the children to used their imagination! It is an excellent value and a great way to teach children there are wonderful and fun things to do other than iPads!
