While the fabric is blocked in 2 inch squares for ease of alignment of blocks, it is not flannel fabric but actually pliable vinyl or plastic like a table cloth. Very very disappointed in it.UPDATE: I’m an idiot!! I had the panel backwards. So disregard my previous comment. Panel is actually wonderful!!

You need to pin fabrics to this and when it’s hanging up it can be hard to reach.

I loved the quality as far as heaviness and the grid pattern and ease of installation BUT that's about as far as it goes. My main goal and purpose was to view my quilts and projects while in progress so I could move blocks around and rearrange them to my liking before sewing my quilt top together. This was not easily done. Even the lightest fabrics would not stick more than a couple minutes without pins inserted to hold them to the gridded fabric. I purchased this to keep from having to pin the pieces on so this was an epic fail. Very disappointed with this purchase. Buyer beware !

I didn't want to give this design wall a 2 star rating, BUT none of the cotton fabric pieces for quilting would stay on. I had to pin all the pieces in place just to look at the quilt design before sewing. I'm going to keep it because I really like that it has a grid on it and that helps me to know where, how many blocks needed, and most of all I can look at the whole quilt before sewing it together. Too bad it doesn't have the stick/glue factor.

Not clingy but with pins this is perfect for laying out my quilt blocks.

Item to think for a wall for quilting

I LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT. FAN DOESN'T EVEN BLOW MY PIECES OFF.

Great for quilting with the grid background, but this has no holding power for fabric at all! Not what quilters want for a design wall because it always requires pins. Am returning and will use flannel flat sheet.
