Gibraltar ST2000AM Stanley Post-Mount Mailbox, XL, Gray Steel - Quantity 1

This is the 2nd one I’ve purchased. Now, this isn’t a dig on the quality-it’s a testament. I love this mailbox because it’s enormous. It allows my mailman to leave packages inside and allows me to leave packages in for pickup. The reason why this is my 2nd mailbox is due to trucks hitting it repeatedly. It’s been hit about 10 times (we’re in a fairly high traffic area for construction and deliveries). The first time was a delivery truck, and it should’ve been crushed by that hit. It was definitely dented, but after a little bit of pushing out the dents and adding some extra screws and stuff, it still stood the test of time. The subsequent hits added more dents and inevitably led to it sitting very wobbly on its metal stand since the base had been crunched up more times than it should have (doesn’t come with a stand), so I’ve decided to purchase this second one to replace the wobbles. But even after being hit so many times, it still opens and closes just fine and the flag still works too.

Very large size. Double check measurements to make sure you want this big of a mail box. I am a usps carrier and constantly get boxes we have to walk to the door because of a tiny mail box or people who don't clean them out. To make life easier for our carrier we bought a bigger box for less trips to the door. He appreciates it VERY much. The door functions as it should. It looks very nice. as long as it is installed correctly and closed while raining it is fairly waterproof. We have not had a big storm yet so I can't verify if its water resistance yet. It seems sturdy and I deliver mail often to homes with these boxes. Most of them have been in use for a while and are still functioning correctly.

This box is huge, just what I needed for those big Amazon purchases. Strong and well built, I think a small child could hide in it playing Hide and Seek. I live in a rural area, about 8 miles from the local post office and my house is over 1/2 mile from where my mail box is located. If a package won't fit in my mailbox it goes back to the post office and I get a slip of paper telling me that I have to go get it. This box will hold a pretty big package and save me a 16 mile round trip to get packages that won't fit in a normal mailbox. It's going to save me money by saving fuel and drive time.

Bought because ours needed replaced. Husband wanted a large mailbox. This is wonderful as it fits packages as well as the mail. This way my packages aren't out in the rain.

Nobody was happier about this purchase than our mail carrier! 😆 No, we are very happy with this mailbox also. It has the space for most packages we receive in addition to our mail. It was well worth the price paid.

It's a good mailbox and a terrific value for the money (at the $40 discounted price I paid). It's BIG and I LIKE the it! It comes in a cardboard box with no dunnage to protect the corners and as others have mentioned, mine came slightly damaged. Two corners are bent and one small dent in the door, all of which I corrected with a body shop hammer. Not as pretty as brand new, but 100% functional. Shipping isn't particularly quick - They told me 3 to 4 weeks & it arrived in about 10 days

Great mailbox! Took a big hit from a huge branch during a recent windstorm and came out almost completely unscathed! Only a very slight dent which I was able to fix with a few smacks of a ball peen hammer in about 5 minutes. Can’t even tell it was there. The post it was mounted on, didn’t fair so well. Had to completely replace that.
