Did exactly what I needed
At first I thought this was another expensive failure, but I learned that it was my knowledge that was lacking. Read on if you are wondering whether this will work for your situation. The M.2 SSD on one of my gaming PC's had reached the end of its lifespan. After 4 years of almost daily gaming, it was running 69c right after boot up, with no load, causing random heat induced shut-downs, etc. Time to replace the M.2.So I ordered a SAMSUNG 970 EVO Plus SSD 500GB - M.2 NVMe from Amazon and downloaded the Data Migration utility from Samsung. All went well; the Win10 OS was successfully transferred to the new drive.Or so I thought. The new drive was running 51c at idle, but all research I found said this was normal for the EVO M.2's. But even though the SSD was not causing shut-downs, the OS was locking up after a few minutes of just sitting there. After some more research I decided to do a fresh re-install of Win10. I concluded that the old SSD failure had corrupted the OS that I had transferred. So I spent 5 hrs downloading the Win10 ISO from MS (I live in the boonies in my RV and am limited to 3-bar cell tower wi-fi) and after all that time, the ISO did not end up on my SDHC as it was supposed to. I only got some MS cryptic error message and chewed up a huge part of my monthly 30Gb data plan.So I went looking for a USB drive with the ISO already on it, and found this one. After receiving it, the PC booted up to it, but the Win10 installation program said it could not install to my chosen C drive partition, and gave me another cryptic error message. I did a search on that specific error code, and learned that the Win10 ISO will not install to a GPT partition. So I deleted the old partition, knowing that I would now have to download and re-install all of my hardware drivers after the new OS installation. But this USB ISO still refused to install Win10 on the new partition that it had just created. So I gave a big sigh, shut it down, and gave up, deciding to take the PC to the closest shop and let them repair it (53 miles down the hwy). After sleeping on it, I had a minor revelation next day: Try deleting the partitions on the HDD also. IOW, remove ALL GPT partitions in the system. Bang! That worked!I used this USB ISO to remove all GPT partitions and recreate MBR partitions, and then did a fresh Win10 install. Since I don't plan on adding a HDD larger than 2TB to this PC, the MBR will be sufficient to extend the life of this PC another 4 years. Yes, I know, MBR is being phased out and will eventually not be supported anymore. But I figure by then I'll just buy a new PC.One more note: I did NOT lose my Win10 license key during this process. After the install, I went and checked the system stats and my license was already there. Same license as before. I'm not sure how that happened since I deleted all partitions and recreated them, but there you are.I probably provided too much info in this review for most people, but I'm sure there will be some who are having the same troubles. Hopefully this helps!

Total Rip-Off. Completely useless.
Bought this as a backup plan in case my computer crashed. Later down the road (after the return window closed, of course), my computer crashed. Busted out my back up plan… no joy. The computer would not recognize the usb. And the limited instructions provided were completely useless.

Didn't work
Stuck in a repair loop even when using this drive. I was able to get my laptop to boot from the drive, but after loading files, it went directly to the same blue screen during repair process which prompted me to buy this thing in the first place. I had been running at 100% disc at the end of Dec., and in January, finally did a reset on my Windows 10 which seemed to work up until 2 weeks ago, when the same 100% disc reappeared after the March Tuesday Windows update. The laptop, a Toshiba Satellite, hasn't been able to boot since then. I tried to reformat again, but no go. I think it might be a hardware failure. or the Windows update munged my system so badly, it will need reformatted. Oh well... c'est la vie.

Works great for someone like me who it not techincally inclided.
My system crashed and wouldn't recognize recovery CD. So I took a chance and installed a new hard drive. I got this device hoping it would make installing Win 10 easy. It did. It was amazingly easy and quick. The one page sheet of instructions was terrific. It took longer to restore my back up than to do the installation. In any case in about an hour I was up and running with no loss of setting or info. Someone more technically inclined might consider it unnecessary, but for someone like me it was well worth it.

It didn't ask for product key - yet!
It didn't ask for a product key - yet - so you can try it as long as you like to ensure you like it, then buy a license if you wish to stop the reminders. Easy to load, Choice of Upgrade and keep old files, or fresh Full Version as Custom Install; This was my choice, and you then go to Partitions - you can delete old partitions and load a fresh version.

Sure you can get the download from the website for free but..
If you were in a bad situation with no other computer to help you load it onto the USB then you might be a lil screwed like how i was with a scratched windows 10 disc that had a light scratch on the data side and rubbed off some of the metal off the data.I saw it as im getting a usb that someone else went on and did the time consuming efforts for me by preloading windows onto a usb and by me not having to use a 30 meg down connection at someone elses house.Got here the next day and I was able to continue on with what I had to do while spending bonding time with the family the night before. Was a win win situation for me

Not was it claims
While there are some superficial instructions, there was nothing like help doing the right things. For the most part this product didn't do anything more than I had learned from the internet. it did not help solve anything or help fix anything. When I tried to reload windows from the on-board iso, the entire process failed and the computer crashed. Now the computer can't even read the USB boot drive or anything else.
