Cord that holds unit is so cheap
Purchased to hand from my tool pauch as a backup. String on fob instantly popped out as soon as any pressure applied. Popped clip to reinsert string. Then string started to unravel. Will not recommend Just but the key chain style

Good for checking solenoid
Did a great job picking up the fuel pump solenoid on my Carlin oil burner and you can feel the magnetic field about 3/4 inch away causing the disc to spin. Not so good on the circulator pump; the thickness of the pump housing may be an issue? Any thoughts on this? Any way will keep it for a quick way to check if power is coming from the control to the solenoid coil.

Works as expected. When the coil is energized just put it on it amd you'll see the rotation. Very simple to use

Quickly identify pump rotation and solenoid operation. i wish they were cheaper and i'd buy like 50 of them

I'd give it a no star but not available. Doesn't spin on energized coil, if you shake it, it moves. Used for HVACR
