Worth the Buy
I'm pretty impressed with these shelves. They seemed super flimsy and cheap at first, but when you start to assemble it. The shelving becomes stronger. They even come with metal pins to lock them into each other for a single unit. You can customize the shelves by halving them or keeping the full height. It's perfect for your garage, shop, or workspace to keep everything organized. They are light enough that two people can carry both of them at the same time while connected with each other. They look nice and clean. The shelves also fit in with the look and help with putting away large boxes or parts. The shelves even come with wall screws to secure it more if you prefer. I will be buying more of these in the future to line my garage wall.

Garage Storage racks
Went together easily. Large size. Very Sturdy when put together, although the center cross bars seem a bit flimsy as you "bend" the ends to go into the slots of the long bars. Overall I am very happy with the new shelves. I was easily able to adjust the shelves to fit the storage tubs we had sitting on the floor of the garage. 9.8/10 would buy again.

Good basement shelves
Pretty easy to assemble, just don't forget to put the inner bar inside, the metal is easy to bend but seems sturdy when put together. Price is right, only reason I gave it 4 stars is that the wall mounting screws snapped in half while trying to screw them in the wall. I use them for my legos and they are perfect for that use.

Very huge very sturdy difficult to place together
This is the second shelf I bought off of Amazon the other one came with all of these really flimsy rods when I came home the next day it was laying on the ground with all of my books and had collapsed however this shelf is the sturdiest one I've ever had and I'm glad I bought this instead of the other one when I made a return of the other shelf. When I was assembling I did not realize that the bars snap in from the inside not the outside

Best of the inexpensive options
I've got about 1000 Lego sets stored in my basement, I keep on buying new ones, and my shelving needs keep growing. I just redid the entire basement with some new shelving units similar to this, and while they work fine, and hold everything without issue, they were more cheaply made. I may have saved 5 or 10 bucks per 5 shelf set, and you could tell the difference trying to get the shelving suports in their little tabs. THESE, on the other hand, are MUCH easier to assemble. None of this tab into slot junk. Their assembly process is so much easier and quicker. I had one of these done in half the time the same sized other set took me, simply due to the ease of placing the supports and thumping them in place with my rubber mallet. I only needed one of these, and I had assembled it, not as a single 5 shelf unit, but two units, with 2 shelves and 3 shelves respectively, and came back upstairs to write my review, and saw they're on a 13% discount. I don't really NEED more right now, but I bought two more sets anyway while they were on sale, since I know at SOME point I'm going to want more shelves again. May as well get these while they're costing less. Definitely will be my go-to for inexpensive shelving moving forward.

Pros, Cons, and tips. Boards are pressboard
I got this because I really needed the exact 40x20 size so I took a chance. I will recommend for dry and light storage, not for damp, liquids, or heavy duty items. #Pros: - easy to assemble - lightweight - simple to build - price is good compared to others - comes with a small mallet if you don't have one #Cons: - the planks are pressboard which is very porous and some came chipped already. I plan to primer, seal, and paint these boards which adds more cost and time but should help extend the life - keep away from any water or soaps, any liquid will destroy the porous press board - the boards seem flimsy, so any heavy or items that may puncture, can damage the boards. - id feel better if they sold the boards separately as replacements. #Tips: - if you have a jigsaw or saw, you can make better boards with sturdy wood - use a large rubber mallet to assemble, do not use a metal hammer. the small mallet it comes with is not good at all - for the small black plastic plugs, take the two pieces apart, insert the "female" part into the joint hole then press the "male" part firmly - make sure both 2 circles are through the holes before hitting with mallet, one circle can sometimes not be in place

A good product
A very good product. I am happy with this purchase. I needed a set of shelves to organize basement storage. It arrived carefully packaged, and on time. It took me and my friend approx. 90minutes to put it together. Although I probably could have done it myself, because the process is not terribly difficult, having two people definitely made the process go more smothly because it takes some time to get enough of the shelving put together to create a structure sturdy enough to stand on it's own. So a second person to hold up the poles was significantly helpful. All pieces were included, along with a pair of very useful work gloves (which i highly recommend wearing while putting it together - my friend took one of her gloves off for a few minutes and got a metal splinter from one of the braces, which she was able to removed without too much trouble). The reason I gave only 4 stars is because #1) the little plastic hammer that is provided is pretty much worthless. Once I got all the pieces together i used my real regular sized hammer ( i used a rubber-headed mallet, but a regulat hammer would be fine if you put a sock on the end so you don't dent the metal ) to knock all the joints firmly into place (which was necessary to get each joist to fully sink into place to firmly lock the pieces in place, and give the entire unit stability), and #2) although the instructions provided were very clear, one page seemed to be missing to illustrate how to install the cross braces that I realized on my own went underneath the center of each shelf. I had to guess how to install these braces, but once I figured it out it was easy and added more sturdiness to the unit. All that said, I recommend this product, and would buy another if i needed one.
