RepTech heat cables are a sturdy flexible heat source that will allow you to heat difficult areas. The heat cable can be worked into a back ground, around a branch or through the substrate. Always follow the safety instructions on the package to ensure correct use. The first 2 meters after the plug are unheated as this part is almost always outside of the area requiring heat (reptile vivarium, plant propagator). The heated part of the cable starts after the blue mark. The cable itself is waterproof, the end cap (see picture) is only splash water proof and should be kept above water. The larger cables are ideal for rack systems. The cables work perfectly with thermostats and are even dimmable!

Perfect
This heat cable is absolutely perfect for what I needed it for. I have it in my leopard geckos enclosure and it gets nice and warm but not too hot. I've been closely checking the temperatures of it and it seems to be around 25°c all the time. The whole length of the cable is 3 metres with only one meter of it actually heating up and the other two are just for length.

This is a really effective heat cable it heats up and achieves the perfect temperature quickly and it's been perfect in heating up my pythons racking system.

I bought this a couple months back for my new ball python rack (I bought the 12 metre cable). It was a great length for what I needed and has worked with absolutely no problems, plus arrived speedily too. Totally happy with it.
