Best plant protein
Let me start by saying this doesn’t mix nearly as easily and smoothly as some premium whey protein powders out there these days. And it definitely does have that kind of “earthy” taste other reviewers mentioned. However, the night and day difference between this and whey protein powder on my digestive system outweighs both of those. Plus, I got used to the taste very quickly, so it’s not a big deal. I don’t know how the chocolate or double chocolate is. But I got the chocolate peanut butter and I will say it definitely tastes like very dark chocolate, not sweet at all. So if you don’t like the idea of that, go with the unflavored or chocolate peanut butter.

Texture and Flavor
I ordered the Chocolate Peanut Butter flavor and was really hoping to like it, but this protein powder was a letdown. The texture is chalky, and it lacks real flavor—definitely not what I expected from that flavor combo. I tried mixing it both in a blender and a shaker, but neither helped improve the taste or texture. I only used it 2–3 times before giving up. Unfortunately, I missed the return window by just 5 days. Overall, I would NOT recommend this product.

Good stuff... minus the taste
1st time using this protein powder. We've been wanting to go with a cleaner more basic option (less weird chemicals) so we are giving it a go. Quality is amazing. Very clearly top of the line ingredients. I sincerely can feel a difference. No joke. Great protein source. Taste is mediocre at best. Totally does not taste like chocolate peanut butter at all, even though it says that on the container. It's very very veggie tasting.... Not at all sweet.......... But you know what? I put 1/2 a teaspoon of brown sugar in the shaker and it's problem solved. Once you get used to it, it's really some of the best you can get I believe. Add a smidge of sugar and you're all good to go.

Great product that works-with a great price tag!
I love this stuff. I'm a big fitness guy and have tried/researched alot of protein powders. I always look for all natural ingredients - no fillers byproduct, etc. Naked pea has exactly that, hence the name I suppose haha. I used to subscribe to transparent lab and pay their ridiculous price of $90 for 4lbs of pure protein and I just couldn't do that anymore! I stumbled upon this and gave it a try- it does has a little bit of that "gritty" feel to it but if you can get past that it's great! Flavor is pretty spot on and the price couldn't be better! This is the only protein that I buy now! Thanks naked pea for making a good protein and one that's affordable!

I’m happy
Peanut butter one kinda gross. Double chocolate is a little better. I’m satisfied I don’t get an upset stomach and my stomach doesn’t like anything. I got used to the taste and it’s satisfying now. If you have a sensitive stomach this is great!!

Don't waste your money!
This product sounded great, healthy simple ingredients. Unfortunately, this is the worst protein powder I have ever tried in my life. The taste is musky but I figure with it being pea protein it would have a different taste. I could deal with that by added other ingredients. The reason I can't use this product is, it will never dissolve and it taste like what I can imagine is sand and water. It's gritty, awful and it makes me nauseous. This product is expensive and you can not return after opening, which is crazy because to me, it is defective. I contacted Naked customer service and they do not care. They could have at the very least have a coupon to purchase another product in their line like the whey. It's undrinkable and I'm throwing it and my money away. I will never purchase a product from them.

It'll get the job done
Pros: Vegan-friendly and affordable Con: Chalky aftertaste

Great flavor, plant based, amino acids, no sweeteners
since April 2025, I have been in a need to supplement my daily protein intake. I tried numerous varieties, the dairy and beef based ones and decided that animal based ones had sweeteners (sometimes bad ones:(), a strong aftertaste and I realized that I was getting stuffy and mucous from the dairy. This protein powder wins - two scoops give 25g of protein and I add my collagen peptides = which totals 35 G protein for my breakfast. Adding banana or pureed fruit makes it a cozy, thicker meal but it is not needed, because the formula it is totally perfect the way it was made. Five stars.

Minimal too no flavour even with 6 grams of sugar, mixes into a chalky mess, not even close to the quality of a isolate

Favourite protein powder thus far - highly highly recommend

After trying many other vegan protein shake options, this has become my go-to, due to its lack of fillers, artificial sweeteners, and other unnecessary additives. Chocolate Peanut Butter is absolutely delicious— it’s like drinking liquified peanut butter cups!! The Chocolate flavour is quite good also. The unflavoured version is suitable if you’re blending it with berries, cocoa, and/or coconut sugar - really anything to give it some sweetness - otherwise it’s not very palatable (but that’s to be expected I think!).

Many people complain about the taste. It's VERY good with cow's milk or soy milk (if you like the taste of peanuts).

I can slam back just about anything, even if it doesn’t taste good. It’s a protein drink, for heavens sake, I am not expecting it to taste like crème brûlée. But holy god, this stuff tastes awful. Like I can barely choke it down.
