When The Critters Don't Want To Play Nice, You Need To Pull Out The Heavy Artillery!
Yes, these are sharp and will cut your fingers if you are not careful. Wear gloves if you are uncertain on how to handle them without cutting yourself. I found these to be the most effective deterrent for the "stubborn" pigeons that refuse to go away. Previously, I've used the wire loops deterrent and the standard stainless steel spikes that you assemble on a flat strip. I don't like being "mean" but if the pigeons fight back, you have to get tough. I found that the easiest way to use these is to simply interweave them into my existing spikes to provide an extra deterrent. With the old wire loop deterrents strips you can simply place a few strips inside the loops to prevent the birds from going inside the loops to nest. All in all, these are the most effective deterrent that I have found yet for pigeons and critters.

This stopped the squirrels like nothing else we tried!
The squirrels were doing real damage to the limbs of our Honey Locust trees. We tried the solar sonic sensors and the brown plastic row of spikes. Neither of these things even slowed down the squirrels. BUT, this product stopped them in their tracks! Like others have said, these blades are sharp and we did have a few little cuts installing them. I also assume that the metal heats up in the sun so is not only sharp but hot. You can also easily bend the metal lengths to wrap around the trunk of a tree or over a post. We highly recommend this product!

Secures my chicken coup!!
Great product. My chickens have been saved. Raccoons can no longer climb over the fence and break into the coup thanks to these extremely sharp spikes. I just zip tied them to my chicken run fence and spray painted them black to blend in with the fence. They are extremely sharp so be careful installing and remember they are there once you do install them. Ouch.

As advertised
I installed these spikes to my bird feeder house to keep squirrels away. It works and cuts the amount of squirrels by a lot. Only issue is the spikes are flimsy and need to be straightened every week in order to repel the squirrels. Other than that I would recommend for this purpose. Note, where gloves while installing..they are really sharp.

They work
Just what we needed. They have kept the cats out of our property. It took quite a few, but the fence is long. Worth every penny

THESE WORKED GREAT FOR ME! vs squirrels 100% GREAT PRODUCT not fooling around.
THESE WORKED GREAT FOR ME! vs squirrels 100% GREAT PRODUCT not fooling around. i really like this product. great quality, great packaging. works. I put them up vs the squirrels running across deck 2x6 suspension beam for plant pot hangers. gnawing my siding and any wood. nothing else stopped them. BE CAREFUL !!!!! those points will go through light gloves no problem. its very flexible steel bendable and cut-able. plenty of holes for screws or whatever you want to mount it with. i sprayed side visible to deck people, so blends a bit more to wood. since it looks like some feudal medieval Japanese anti ninja castle stuff. Nothing in its right mind would want to touch it...it's like hypodermic sharp points or a razor lol. so put it where you and people and kids and pets wont contact it. REALLY BE MINDFUL of it when installing and concentrate lol i got a nice set of punctures and bit of slice across the fingers. I donated to the blood bank lol. so sharp you don't feel it till after lol. mech gloves wont help lol , was almost done, got distracted and used a screw bit that wasn't magnetic and way too short to keep my hands away. all the while balancing and holding on to rail. lol like one handed, one foot, knife juggling lol so i was dumb and cheap and in a hurry. lol so if using screws get a cheap magnetic bit holder that's 4 inch long about. not the deck screw bit that is 1/2 inch long, don't be cheap and do it fast, easy and safe lol. only really need a screw or two per section to hold it. i used short deck screws, they self tap and wont corrode and are painted, so if the item is stainless it will last a long time (no dissimilar metal to metal contact). if your going for crazy longevity perfection, i guess you could paint the area of wood that will be underneath, if your putting it on pressure treated wood, not sure how the current PTW works with stainless. anyway i think it will probably outlast me. the pigeon straight wire things never worked BTW. this does. last consideration if you have tons of trees like me, is pine needles etc, pine haven't fallen yet so see how that works if they collect...if that happens, will see if that is cleanable with blower lol good luck bee safe and keep fingers away lol ;)

I'm having problems with racoons using our new shed roof to do their business. They climb a fence to reach over onto the roof. I've since clad the fence with sheet metal on the shed side to prevent access, but obviously they can use the other. I placed the spikes along the top of the fence to prevent them reaching over. It's only been a couple of weeks but I've no indication they've succeeded. They're very persistent. These spikes are very aggressive. Which is what I needed. You will have to be very careful to not hurt yourself. The only thing is that they are a thin gauge of stainless steel. So how long they will last in Canadian weather is unknown.

As Elmer Fudd might say "Be vewy, vewy caaful." These things are extremely, very, dangerously sharp. I used 2 pieces and attached them with zip ties temporarily to see if they will keep squirrels away from the bird feeder. If I was a squirrel I wouldn't go anywhere near it. I'll keep you updated.
