Blackout Budget Roller Blind compatible with VELUX Roof Windows with size code CK02, ‎Grey

Clear instructions allowed me to confidently select the correct size for my window. Incredibly easy to fit IF you watch the video on the listing first (hard to understand fitting instructions from the leaflet in the box). Just attach the 2 brackets then slot the 3 parts into place and fix with just 8 screws (drill pilot holes first to make screws go in easily). Only took me 5-10 minutes to fit it. Excellent fit within the window frame. Looks great. Blocks out light very effectively. Runs up and down inside the frame very smoothly. So good, I have bought a second one for my other VELUX window.

Bought to replace a worn out Velux one, great price and fast delivery. Ordering correct size was easy, due to ordering information and size chart to select correct one. Blind looks good and was easy and quick to install. Works well too, seems to be good quality too.

I bought this blind to replace a Velux one where the cord had caught and blind no longer went up. This blind is a perfect fit but uses 3 screws on the sides and not 4 like the original. I didn’t get any screws with the blind but used the old ones without issue. Two screws hold the main blind part up and then there’s only the two sides to slide in and screw to the wood - which will need new holes as not in same place as velux fitting. This is a little fiddly but easily achieved by even a novice. The blind works great once fitted. The mechanism is different to Velux but works well, it just slides in the runners and not on a string / cord. To return to the open position you have to angle the handle which you use to pull it down, which took me a few seconds to work out. Do not try and push it up like the Velux ones. Takes a little readjustment of your usual closing motion but works well when used to it. Total time to remove old and fit this blind was 10mins max. Very easy and a nice well fitting result. Impressed and a great price. Truly is blackout too. I bought the standard dark grey colour as it was the same as the old one and is very smart. Only small complaint is that the blind has slight lines from folding within the unit but that’s nit picking and the blind is a great replacement. Seller dispatch is quick and shipping tracked.

The blind and mount are good quality. There's very little light seeping through, and they fit perfectly. However, the instructions are not only unfathomable, they're actually deceptive - and the videos on the company website show a man with his back to you rather than any actual installation of the blinds. It turns out, they're actually really easy to install. If you've installed one before, it won't take two minutes. But if it's your first time installing a skylight blind, you're going to spend hours trying to follow the unfathomable, misleading instructions. We've just moved to a new house, I've put up sixteen pieces of flatpack, and four blinds (including this one) in three days, and this was the only thing I've had any problems with. It's not like I can't follow a manual, the manual is just the single most incompetent set of instructions ever created since the dawn of the universe. They're even less realistic than a British Rail time table. But again, the blind is fine, and it's really easy to fit once you realise the instructions are a work of fiction, and figure out what you're doing.

These blinds are great. Much better price than the others on the market and dead easy to install, taking about 5 minutes per window. Good quality, reflect heat away and very effective light blocking too. Simple stop / go mechanism makes them very easy to use. Highly recommended

Giving this 5 stars because it's half the price of a proper Velux blind and so easy to fit (we'll have to wait and see how durable it is). Other reviews mention the instructions are poor or unclear - ignore this, if you've ever put together IKEA furniture you'll get it. My window frame had two plastic nubs on either side side of the glass, so the blind itself slots onto those, and then you need one screw each side to secure it. The blind includes plastic spacers to show you where to screw in, if you don't have the nubs, but otherwise they can be discarded. Then there are two metal runners that slot in each side (they fit perfectly as long as you've ordered the correct size for your window), locate the bottom edge of the blind in these runner and simply put two screws in each side. Done! The blind can be pulled straight down and stays where you leave it. To open, you have to tilt the bottom edge backwards, which allows you to push it back up either to a different position or all the way open. We got a blackout blind so, when the sun is burning directly down in the afternoon, the room is almost totally dark. It's a very clean solution and so can't believe I didn't know about these sooner.

Excellent product. They fit beautifully and were very easy to install. I had the velux plastic lugs already on my frame so the blind just slotted into those with 2 screws to hold then the side strips attached with 3 screws. I installed 4 within an hour. Totally recommend.

C'è stato qualche disguido iniziale di spedizione (Amazon segnalava la consegna come "in ritardo", ma in realtà alla fine è arrivata persino con un giorno di anticipo), ma il prodotto in sé è davvero ottimo. Andiamo nel dettaglio. MISURE: Io ho in casa 3 vecchie Velux (primi anni '90) in legno: due GGL4 (più larghe) e una GGL1 (più stretta). Acquistando un prodotto "non originale" temevo di avere problemi di misure e compatibilità, invece tutte le tende sono assolutamente perfette (ovviamente ho avuto cura di acquistare quelle che corrispondono ai codici delle mie finestre). QUALITA': La qualità dell'oggetto mi pare ottima: sia il rullo che i binari in alluminio sono solidi, ben lavorati e quando tutto è montato il meccanismo dell'apertura/chiusura scorre fluido e senza problemi, il fissaggio della tenda all'altezza desiderata è semplice e il "potere oscurante" è quasi perfetto: non ho riscontrato "spiragli" di luce in nessuna delle 3 che ho montato. Anche a vedersi sono belle... veramente molto soddisfatto. MONTAGGIO: Il montaggio è piuttosto semplice, in mezz'ora da solo le ho messe su tutte e tre. Si tratta davvero di avvitare 8 viti e basta. Diciamo che per ragioni di comodità forse è meglio essere in due (altrimenti avvitare alcune parti dovendo anche sostenerle al tempo stesso è un po' scomodo). Comunque le istruzioni sono chiare, i pezzi abbondantemente sufficienti (ce ne sono anche diversi "d'avanzo", suppongo per montare su modelli differenti di Velux, ma in ogni caso è davvero difficile confondersi su quali pezzi vanno utilizzati per il proprio modello). Non ho riscontrato problemi di binari L/R marcati al contrario, come segnalato da altri utenti: forse il prodotto è stato aggiornato o non so cosa, comunque i miei erano perfetti e chiarissimi. CONCLUSIONE: Non so cosa offra il prodotto "originale" Velux per costare più del doppio di queste tendine, però io devo dire che sono molto soddisfatto del prezzo, della qualità, della facilità di montaggio e del risultato finale. Vedremo la tenuta della molla nel tempo, ma anche dovesse "allentarsi" nel giro di qualche anno, penso che comunque le sostituirei di nuovo con lo stesso modello/marca.

El envió fue razonablemente rápido, me llego en 11 días. Compre esta cortina para sustituir la original de una ventana Velux S08 que se le rompieron las cuerdas. Esta tiene otro sistema de recogida, que me parece funcional. El precio de esta, es un tercio menos que el de la original. La cortina (ahora nueva) se ve de buena calidad, claro que solo con el tiempo y el uso, lo sabré realmente. Fue relativamente fácil de instalar. Digo relativamente, ya que aunque no soy profesional instalador, dispongo de herramientas que facilitan su instalación, como por ejemplo un destornillador eléctrico que facilita sustancialmente el trabajo. A mayores le pedí a mi hija ayuda en algún momento para sujetar un poco la cortina, mientras colocaba los primeros tornillos, pero creo que una sola persona lo puede hacer. Trae todo el material necesario para su instalación, además de un pequeño papel de instrucciones que es solo grafico, pero para para mi entender, de fácil comprensión. Se ajusto perfectamente a mi ventana y al cerrarla toda, oscurece totalmente la habitación. El sistema de recogida se ajusta perfectamente a voluntad. Para recoger solo hace falta ejercer una pequeña presión hacía adentro para desbloquear y dejar que se enrolle la cantidad que se desee. Como todo siempre hay algún detalle, que en mi opinión se podría mejorar: La cortina original trae un cobertor de protección sobre el rodillo donde se enrolla la tela al abrirla, para evitar que le de directamente el sol, ya que esa zona da hacia afuera. Anexo foto con la comparación de las cortinas, en la cual se ve el mencionado protector de color negro. Creo que se lo podrían incluir y aunque incremente un poco su precio, la protegería de la luz directa del sol. En resumen me parece buena relación de calidad - precio.
