Never need to replace it!
I've used one for myself for nearly 2-years now and never had a connection or speed problem since replacing my original BT-Smarthub (which lies about its range!) with this one which is actually better than it makes out to be, I loved it so much I've bought 3 more; one for my parents, one for my parents in law and one for my friend. Every single person has agreed their internet drops out less, has a better over-all range and due to its superior fire-wall features and advanced options in comparison to other brands and even 'default' ones sent out my the likes of BT, TalkTalk and NowTV its nothing short of secure, reliable and blazingly fast. It also keeps cool (literally it never gets hot!) I've had 18 devices connected for a month at one point and still had no problems at all even managing to keep up with 3 individuals all playing Elite; Dangerous (a network demanding game) all at the same time. It's that powerful and reliable, and secure once properly setup that my parents use it for their home-business server because its *just that good*.Due to moving and me actually losing my last-one I'm going to buy this model yet again because I know if it says 'NetGear' its a brand I can trust from now on.

Works well except VPN connections keep dropping
I had to replace tp-Link with Netgear as my Sky Q-Box wouldn't connect to tp-link.This is reasonably priced router and has 2.4G and 5G.Installed in 15min; very easy installation. The VPN connection started to stop-off multiple times in a day.Tried rebooting many times. When the issue persisted, reset the router to factory setting and reconfigured it.Now the router is much more stable. The VPN looses internet connections rarely.

A great router
An excellent router that does what is expected from it and at a good price. Installation was straight forward using the automatically find settings mode. Broadband worked great, as I have a wireless "mesh" system I wanted to turn off the WiFi on the router, the settings were a little difficult to find but a good read of the manual (online only) soon found them.I then discovered my TV channels from the internet were blank, further reading of the manual discovered that internet TV (IPTV) was set to off by default, a quick change of the settings altered this and the TV worked as it should. Overall a great router for the price, would I buy it again? I certainly would without hesitation.

Easy setup, rock solid reliability, speedy performance, very good WiFi coverage
I bought this router to allow me and the family to stop using my old Virgin media ‘Superhub’ as our only wireless access point. Before installing this we would get frequent dropouts and slow speeds. After spending five minutes in the setup menu and changing the router to ‘modem mode’ the difference is like night and day!Rock solid 150mbit+ WiFi connections all over the house, and no network drops or need to reset the router at all!It is difficult to get excited about a router, which should just silently do its job and you should never have to look at it or think about it again after you set it up. So far this has done the job perfectly!
