Q: Interested in the queen size frame, how stable is this bed? Worried about the stability; does stay in place even sitting on the edge of the bed?

Everything slides on my tile floor. The bed itself is stable.

Yes, it does. Mine is a foam mattress, in fact.

Q: What’s it made of? (I cant find it) and is it sturdy?

The primary material is a kind of particle board; the visible portions are covered in black plastic layer. Without detailing the kinds of activities that occur, it is quite sturdy. However, I suspect that it would lose its sturdiness should I need to disassemble and reassemble (as in a move to a new residence).

Q: colors listed are ebony and black, yet the pictures look greyish-brown. is it really black?

We have the black bed and it is clearly black! Nice looking and good quality!
