My gson is a little chef in the making, he is always in the kitchen wanting to help and/or cook. His favorite is pancakes. This set was a no brainer for me to order for him. I love the variety of items and he is occupied for hours trying to feed everyone in the house. The set is made with durable plastics and doesn't contain any real small pieces like some other sets. The thing I love is also the thing that I don't like, there are so many pieces and while I teach him to clean-up behind himself there is always pieces throughout the house.

All the pieces in this kit are brightly colored and very cute. Our 5yo enjoyed setting up a pretend picnic for the family. My only concern is that the pieces do feel really really thin. Nothing has broken so far, but I am not convinced of their long-term durability. I do think it may be priced a bit too high, but not a dealbreaker and would still recommend.

My “little one” is enjoying this a lot. The mini checkered tablecloth is cute and adds to the fun. The colors of the plates and spoons are vibrant. There are enough food items that she can give us all some food. We don’t eat many hotdogs, but the hotdog itself is seen as a carrot! That works great. I like that there’s even a candy bar! It’s a fun set and nice for adults. When she’s done playing, everything can easily be put back in the basket. The only downfall was the cardboard tray. It was pretty much useless as it was made from cardboard and not plastic. It also is difficult to get in and out of the basket. I threw it away. I didn’t take off any stars for that because the rests of the set is excellent!

My granddaughter came over and played with her new pretend food toys. I ate all kind of imaginary food that day! This set her imagination on fire, and she was a baby chief for the rest of the day. Small items for little hands to grip and hold. Lots of fun and play for a really good price. Overall, a great value.

Such a fun little picnic basket set! Cups, plates and spoons are all in bright primary colors. The food included is definitely common foods and some of them separate, like French fries come out of box and hot dog out of bun. Lids come off of pitcher. Even ketchup pack is a nice touch. Really great assortment and fun for pretend play. Also comes with a plaid blanket/ table cloth and the picnic basket stores it all. There is a tray that the food came in, however it was almost impossible to get it out of basket, not ideal, since everything else fits in the basket. Other than that, I do think this isna great set. My son's therapist has add a goal for pretend play, this is perfect for pretend play and actually entertains him. Like that this set is versatile, can be having a picnic, tea party or eating out at a restaurant, wherever the mind takes you. Great set and reasonable cost, for all that you get!

I’m very impressed with this set of play food. I was worried the size would be too small, but I feel like the size of each food piece is great for toddlers. The Velcro is good quality and strong, so the pieces hold together when being handled. I also appreciated the level of detail in the food itself. Several food pieces had multiple pieces like the banana, which gives a more “realistic” peeling action. Also, the inside of the pieces aree also detailed and not just a flat solid color. The sorting buckets are a good size, too. Note that the labels are included as stickers for you to add on yourself later and the handles need to be attached, so you may want to do that ahead of time if gifting to your kid so it’s ready to go out of the box.

All of the food pieces were missing. The rest of the set was fine and my daughter uses the picnic basket a lot.

While it arrived on time and was fun to unpack, that is where the praise stops. It is a lot of pieces and although it says it is safe for children over age of 3, I am hesitant to believe that. The pieces are easy to handle for little hands and the bright colors make them appealing, however, some of the pieces still are small. This is a pretend picnic set for children and children will be placing these pieces by their mouths, so keep that in mind when considering purchasing. With that said, our 4 year old loves this set and still plays with it pretty much everyday.
