The Big Book of Beautiful Babies Board Book

My grandchildren LOVED this book when they were babies. It was a favorite for at least the first 2 years. Babies love other Babies. The photos are lovely, the book is sturdy and the surprise at the end is fun, not to mention adorable.I will continue to gift this book to lucky babies for as long as it exists.

Because infants focus on faces (and facial mimics in experiments) sooner than on other shapes, this book holds the attention of nearly-newborns, much earlier than other books. Over the years, based on the feedback from parents to whom I have given this book, I have probably bought over a dozen copies, both of the original (more fragile) ordinary-style book, and the later board book. (Spoiler alert): the clever unbreakable mirror at the back isn't all that accurate, but babies seem to love it also.Sadly, it seems to be out of press; I have bought the last two copies from secondary sources. It REALLY needs to be reprinted!!

Our babies were both hooked on this book and "loved it", pictures and reflecting mirror paper at the end, beyond recognition after we received it as a gift in 1999. After my initial disappointment that it was no longer in print when I wanted to buy a fresh copy for a friend, I'm grateful to have found a used copy in much better shape than ours for a Baby friend. This is a definite gem of a book for babies and their families. Ready to be loved by your favorite baby.

I purchased this book for my new Grandson because my Grandaughter enjoyed it so much. I chose the used version because it is cardboard. The book was listed in better condition than I would have rated it. I reailize it is used but there is writing inside of it so I would have rated it lower. I'm sure it will be fine for him though.

This is not the book that I thought it was and the quality of the photography was not that good. I think there are better books out there with photos of babies

My daughter had this book as a baby and it was an absolute favorite of hers and mine.Bought it as a gift for a friend's little girl, I am sure she will love it as much as we did.

My son loves this book and I enjoy reading it to him. The pictures are great and I love the little story to read along with the pictures. My son has enjoyed reading this book over and over again. The pitures are much better than some of the other baby faces books I have bought.

I am a huge fan of really good books for babies and toddlers...and was deeply disappointed to find text in this book that captions an 8-10 month old sitting in a batch of flour as "baby bad"....really??? how can any responsible author of a book for infants use the words "bad" and "baby" in the same breath...I returned this book for other, more appropriate books...

I bought this because my baby loves the library copy of Amazing Baby I Love You. However he hasn't shown any interest in this book. Maybe because it doesn't have any colour on the page? Also the "naughty baby" caption doesn't feel right for me when reading it to him. It is also very long compared to most baby books so we never make it to the end. Second hand bookseller was good though and would use again.Update: my baby is now a toddler and this book is now becoming a favourite. He often chooses this one and we usually make it to the end now! I think it's a good way to introduce different descriptive words and emotions to my toddler e.g. baby happy, baby sad. The photos are lovely and the mirror at the end is fun (big and clear quality). A good purchase for a toddler, although I still don't like the "naughty baby" caption and usually say "cheeky baby" instead!

I always buy this book for new babies as my twins loved it so much! The black & white photos are just gorgeous and the simple rhyming phrases are easy to read and remember. The mirror at the end is eagerly anticipated!

My baby loves faces, especially babies faces. But this book does have a few strange pictures next to the descriptions. I would recommend the "This Little Baby" book over this one. It also has a mirror, rhymes and has lovely pictures and descriptions. Still a good faces book though.

Amazing book. Best present ever for friends with new babies. My son and I spent hours with this book and I’d definitely recommend it

I bought this one for my newborn but my two year old loves it too and has already memorised much of the simple text. The photos are lovely and my baby loves the mirror!
