Ninja turtle review
My nephew loved this gift. It easily attached to the other sewer piece. Fun for kids. Great quality

Little smaller than my original, but looks great with the new figures
Kind of bummed about the scale, but displays very well with the new articulated classic style figures

Nostalgia bomb
I often see complaints about the size of this toy, but honestly, it’s not significantly smaller than the original. Yes, you could shell out big bucks for a vintage model, but this new, complete version offers incredible value at a fraction of the price. While the assembly comes with over 50 stickers—something I wasn't too thrilled about—it wasn’t difficult to put together. Even if you don’t own any Ninja Turtles figures, this toy still delivers countless hours of imaginative play. You can easily incorporate Star Wars figures to create an epic imperial or separatist droid superweapon, or transform it into an alien command ship. It also makes for an exciting fortress where toy soldiers or cars can engage in thrilling battles or daring escapes. This toy sparks creativity and imagination, and while it's not as robust as the original, its lighter weight makes it easier to carry around for playtime. I wholeheartedly recommend it!

Fun, but smaller than the original and a bit more flimsy
Get it for your kid(s) to make your inner child happy. Isn't as robust as the original, but it's pretty good. Wait till it's on sale, I got it for ~$35. Great at that price.

Tecnodrome is no laughing matter.
Totally tubular dude. Love it as an adult and loved passing on a part of my tmnt childhood to my sons. Great toy and provides a lot of imagination play for my kids!

The assembly took longer than expected with 42 decals, but well worth it.
My kid born in 2021 now gets to enjoy the same Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles experience I had in the 1980s. The assembly was harder than expected and included over 42 decals, but it was well worth it. The toy is incredibly well built, has awesome detail and a nostalgic 1980s feel of the original The ability to relive my own childhood through my 4 1/2 year-old son is priceless.

Iconic playset, but effectively unusable as a toy due to missing ecosystem
I bought the TMNT Classic Technodrome as a Christmas gift for my son, assuming that—since this is a current-production playset—there would be compatible figures and accessories available to use with it. Unfortunately, that is not the case, and it fundamentally breaks the product as a toy. The Technodrome is designed around specific interactions (most notably Krang mounting on an internal post, villain control areas, weapon storage, etc.). However, there is currently no Playmates Krang or villain figure in production that fits or works with these features. The only figures that actually interact with the playset correctly are older Playmates figures that are no longer manufactured and can only be found used or at inflated secondary-market prices. This is not made clear in the product description or on the box. You only discover it after opening the set and reading the instructions, which reference parts and figures that are explicitly “not included” and, worse, not available for purchase new anywhere. To be clear: This is not a case of “figures sold separately.” This is a case of no compatible figures being sold at all. As a result, the Technodrome ends up being a large plastic shell with dead features. For a child—especially one who does not already own vintage TMNT toys—there is very little that can actually be done with it as intended. It’s the equivalent of selling a Barbie Dreamhouse while no Barbies are available in stores. The playset itself is well-made and nostalgic, which is why I’m not giving it one star. But as a functional, playable toy for kids, it is incomplete and poorly supported. This should either be clearly disclosed or released alongside the figures required to use it. Recommended only for collectors who already own vintage Playmates figures. Not recommended as a standalone playset for children.
